I like that one Fib!

Ok, I found the lyrics for this finally. I'll have to edit it horribly, but this song seems to be fitting to be a constant theme music for me and my life the past few years. So, here you are

"Good <expletive deleted> bye" by Alkaline Trio (Written by Matt Skiba)

So you broke down
Trying to leave town
I broke down crying on your return
You left me feeling hopeful
I'll never see your face again
You made for a bad lover's liver
You stole all the covers and busted my head
You made me such an ass hole
I wish we'd never met
I'm tired of being bored
I'm through with the headaches
And hiding my hands
that tremble like earthquakes
Under the table under the daytime sky
Good <expletive deleted> bye
And when you lose hope
It's hard to cope
Watching the tyranny with sober eyes
At daybreak and sunset
All hours in between are spent murdering time
You made for a bad lover's liver
You sold all the covers and <expletive deleted> up my head
You made me such an ass hole
I wish we'd never met
I'm tired of being bored
I'm through with the headaches at night
And my hands they tremble like earthquakes
Under the table under the daytime sky
Good <expletive deleted> bye
Good <expletive deleted> bye
Good <expletive deleted> bye
"You can do whatever you want to me."
"Oh, so I can crate you and hide you in the warehouse at the end of Raiders?"
"So funny, kiss me funny boy!" / *Sprays mace* " I know, I know, bad for the ozone"

The Lyre of Orpheus - Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds

Orpheus sat gloomy in his garden shed
Wondering what to do
With a lump of wood, a piece of wire
And a little pot of glue
O Mamma O Mamma

He sawed at the wood with half a heart
And glued it top to bottom
He strung a wire in between
He was feeling something rotten
O Mamma O Mamma

Orpheus looked at his instrument
And he gave the wire a pluck
He heard a sound so beautiful
He gasped and said O my God
O Mamma O Mamma

He rushed inside to tell his wife
He went racing down the halls
Eurydice was still asleep in bed
Like a sack of cannonballs
O Mamma O Mamma

Look what I've made, cried Orpheus
And he plucked a gentle note
Eurydice's eyes popped from their sockets
And her tongue burst through her throat
O Mamma O Mamma

O God, what have I done, he said
As her blood pooled in the sheets
But in his heart he felt a bliss
With which nothing could compete
O Mamma O Mamma

Orpheus went leaping through the fields
Strumming as hard as he did please
Birdies detonated in the sky
Bunnies dashed their brains out on the trees
O Mamma O Mamma

Orpheus strummed till his fingers bled
He hit a G minor 7
He woke up God from a deep, deep sleep
God was a major player in heaven
O Mamma O Mamma

God picked up a giant hammer
And He threw it with an thunderous yell
It smashed down hard on Orpheus' head
And knocked him down a well
O Mamma O Mamma

The well went down very deep
Very deep went down the well
The well went down so very deep
Well, the well went down to hell
O Mamma O Mamma

Poor Orpheus woke up with a start
All amongst the rotting dead
His lyre tacked safe under his arm
His brains all down his head
O Mamma O Mamma

Eurydice appeared brindled in blood
And she said to Orpheus
If you play that ****ing thing down here
I'll stick it up your orifice!
O Mamma O Mamma

This lyre lark is for the birds, said Orpheus
It's enough to send you bats
Let's stay down here, Eurydice, dear
And we'll have a bunch of screaming brats
O Mamma O Mamma

Orpheus picked up his lyre for the last time
He was on a real low down bummer
And stared deep into the abyss and said
This one is for Mamma

O Mamma O Mamma
O Mamma O Mamma
Decide what you want, decide what you are willing to exchange for it. Establish your priorities and go to work. - H.L. Hunt

This a pretty good one. I like the beginning before the music starts. Hard to dance to it though. :o I also like "it's your life, don't play hard to get."

PLAY THE GAME -- Queen

Open up your mind
And let me step inside
Rest your weary head
And let your heart decide
It's so easy
When you know the rules
It's so easy
All you have to do
Is fall in love
Play the game
Everybody play the game of love
Ooh, yeah

When you're feeling down
And your resistance is low
Light another cigarette
Ad let yourself go
This is your life
Don't play hard to get
It's a free world
All you have to do is fall in love
Play the game
Everybody play the game of love

My game of love has just begun
Love runs from my head down to my toes
My love is pumping through my veins
(Play the game)
Driving me insane
Come, come, come, come,
Play the game, play the game,
Play the game, play the game

Play the game
Everybody play the game of love

This is your life
Don't play hard to get
It's a free (free) world
All you have to do is fall in love
Play the game
Yeah
Play the game of love
Your life
Don't play hard to get
It's a free (free) world
All you have to do is fall in love
Play the game
Everybody play the game

[QUOTE=chu]Paul Rodgers (From Queen+Paul Rodgers) Was the front man for Bad Company, wasnt he????????????????????

And little River Band. They had a song that Id like to post, but I cant remember its name. [/QUOTE]

umm, I dunno. I just know I love Bad Company.
ahem. Here are the lyrics to a great love song
Sinead O'Connor: Nothing Compares to You

It's been seven hours and fifteen days
Since you took your love away
I go out every night and sleep all day
Since you took your love away
Since you been gone I can do whatever I want
I can see whomever I choose
I can eat my dinner in a fancy restaurant
But nothing ...
I said nothing can take away these blues,
'Cause nothing compares ...
Nothing compares to you

It's been so lonely without you here
Like a bird without a song
Nothing can stop these lonely tears from falling
Tell me baby where did I go wrong?
I could put my arms around every boy I see
But they'd only remind me of you
went to the doctor guess what he told me
Guess what he told me?
He said, girl, you better have fun
No matter what you do
But he's a fool ...
'Cause nothing compares ...
Nothing compares to you ...

All the flowers that you planted, mama
In the back yard
All died when you went away
I know that living with you baby was sometimes hard
But I'm willing to give it another try
'Cause nothing compares ...
Nothing compares to you

and here are the lyrics to a good song by a reggae band that's been around making hits and touring for decades
Toots & The Maytals: Funky Kingston

Everybody, give it to me huh
Hey Hey Hey
I want you to believe every word I say
I want you to believe every thing I do
I said music is what I've got to give
and I've got to find some way to make it
Music is what I've got baby
I want you to come on and shake it
shake it shake it baby
oh yeah hey
na na na...
oh yeah..na na na

Funky (x3)
Funky Kingston, is what I've got for you
oh yeah
Funky Kingston, yeah is what I've got for you
Funky Kingston
oh yeah

Lemme hear your funky guitar
yo reggae
hear the piano, stick it to me

watch me now
you watch me now
Playing from east to west yeah
I just play from north to south, yeah
I love black America
people keep on asking me for
Funky Kingston
But I ain't got none
somebody take it away from me

I know I posted these lyrics not long ago but it's such a good song here it is again
Fastball: The Way

They made up their minds
And they started packing
They left before the sun came up that day
An exit to eternal summer slacking
But where were they going without ever knowing the way?
They drank up the wine
And they got to talking
They now had more important things to say
And when the car broke down they started walking
Where were they going without ever knowing the way?

Chorus:

Anyone could see the road that they walk on is paved in gold
And it’s always summer, they’ll never get cold
They’ll never get hungry
They’ll never get old and gray
You can see their shadows wandering off somewhere
They won’t make it home
But they really don’t care
They wanted the highway
They’re happy there today , today

The children woke up
And they couldn’t find ’em
They left before the sun came up that day
They just drove off
And left it all behind ’em
But where were they going without ever knowing the way?

Anyone could see the road that they walk on is paved in gold
And it’s always summer, they’ll never get cold
They’ll never get hungry
They’ll never get old and gray
You can see their shadows wandering off somewhere
They won’t make it home
But they really don’t care
They wanted the highway
They’re happy there today , today (repeat)

and here is the song I've been meaning to post since, well, since I started typing this post. It's so good, the sound effects are very 'Kill Bill-esque'.
Tori Amos: Cornflake Girl

Never was a cornflake girl
Thought that was a good solution
Hanging with the raisin girls
She's gone to the other side
Givin us a yo heave ho
Things are getting kind of gross
And I go at sleepy time
This is not really happening
You bet your life it is

Peel out the watchword
Just peel out the watchword

She knows what's goin on
Seems we got a cheaper feel now
All the sweetcaze are gone
Gone to the other side
With my encyclopedia
They musta paid her a nice price
She's putting on her string bean love
This is not really happening
You bet your life it is

Peal our the watchword
Just peel out the watchword

Never was a cornflake girl
Thought that was a good solution

Rabbit where'd you put the keys girl
And the man with the golden gun thinks he knows so much
Thinks he knows so much
Rabbit where'd you put the keys girl

We were singing this tonight and I remembered how much I like it

My Bonny Yew Tree

A mile frae Pencaitland, on the road to the sea
Stands a yew tree a thousand years old,
And the old women swear by the gray o’ their hear
That it knows what the future will hold,
For the shadow of Scotland surround you,
‘Mid the kail and the corn and the kye.
All the hopes and the fears of a thousand long years,
Under the Lothian sky.

Chorus:
My bonny yew tree, tell me what do you see.
My bonny yew tree, tell me what do you see.

Did you look through the haze o’ the long summer days
To the south and the far English border?
All the bonnets o’ steel on Flodden’s cold field.
Did they march by your side in good order?
Did you ask them the price of their glory
When you heard the great slaughter begin?
All the dust o’ their bones Would rise up frae the stones
To bring tears to the eyes o’ the wind.

Chorus

Not once did you speak for the poor or the weak
When the moss-troopers lay in your shade
For to hide frae the thunder and count all the plunder
And share out the spoils o’ the raid.
But you saw the smiles o’ the gentry,
And the laughter of lords at their gains,
Oh, when the poor hunt the poor
Through mountain and moor,
The rich man can keep them in chains.

Chorus

And there as I stood and laid hands to your wood
It might be a kindness to fell you.
One kiss o’ the axe and you’re freed frae the racks
O’ the sad bloody tales that we tell you.
But a wee bird flew from your branches
And sang out as never before.
And the song that he sang was a thousand years old.
And to learn it along thousand more.

Chorus

And we sang this, too. It felt good. Don't care if it isn't fashionable

Sell Your Labour Not Your Soul
Brian McNeill

(Chorus :)
Young and old, true and bold
Sell your labour not your soul
Solidarity's your goal - join the union

Come and listen through the land, working woman, working man
Young and old, true and bold - join the union
Black, brown or white, get ready for the fight
Young and old, true and bold - join the union
Will you stand upon your rights or will you live upon your knees
Doff your cap and look away while the bosses take their ease

Unemployment is the fear the bosses whisper in your ear
Young and old, true and bold - join the union
Short term contract when they hire makes it easier to fire
Young and old, true and bold - join the union
More efficiency's the cry, technology's the game
And every dividend you double - well your wages stay the same

They say the unions' day is done and the country's moving on
Young and old, true and bold - join the union
Aye the government knows best, private sector does the rest
Young and old, true and bold - join the union
They'll privatise your hopes and they'll privatise your fears
If they catch your children crying they'll privatise their tears

We will rise, we will grow, we are stronger than we know
Young and old, true and bold - join the union
We will not be denied for we have right upon our side
Young and old, true and bold - join the union
So raise the banners high, let us all march behind
Let Scotland be the first to draw the new union li

Talent abound from Mr May in:

Queen - Fat Bottomed Girls

Are you gonna take me home tonight
Ah down beside that red firelight
Are you gonna let it all hang out
Fat bottomed girls
You make the rockin’ world go round

Hey I was just a skinny lad
Never knew no good from bad
But I knew life before I left my nursery
Left alone with big fat fanny
She was such a naughty nanny
Heap big woman you made a bad boy out of me
Hey hey!

I’ve been singing with my band
Across the wire across the land
I seen ev’ry blue eyed floozy on the way
But their beauty and their style
Went kind of smooth after a while
Take me to them dirty ladies every time

Oh won’t you take me home tonight?
Oh down beside your red firelight
Oh and you give it all you got
Fat bottomed girls you make the rockin’ world go round
Fat bottomed girls you make the rockin’ world go round

Hey listen here
Now your mortgages and homes
I got stiffness in the bones
Ain’t no beauty queens in this locality (I tell you)
Oh but I still get my pleasure
Still got my greatest treasure
Heap big woman you gonna make a big man out of me
Now get this

Oh you gonna take me home tonight (please)
Oh down beside your red firelight
Oh you gonna let it all hang out
Fat bottomed girls you make the rockin’ world go round
Fat bottomed girls you make the rockin’ world go round
Get on your bikes and ride

Oooh yeah them fat bottomed girls
Fat bottomed girls
Yeah yeah yeah
Fat bottomed girls
Yes yes

Hasn't chu already posted that song? Oh well, it's a good song anyways. :D

Here's Flash for you, chu. This song is hilarious.

FLASH -- Queen (written by Brian May)

Flash
Ah
Saviour of the universe
Flash
Ah
He’ll save every one of us

"Seemingly there is no reason for these
Extraordinary intergalactical upsets"
Ha, ha, ha
"What’s happening, Flash?"
"Only Dr. Hans Zarkov, formerly at NASA,
Has provided any explanation"
Flash
Ah
He’s a miracle
"This mornings unprecedented solar eclipse
Is no cause for alarm"
Flash
Ah
King of the impossible

He’s for every one of us
Stand for every one of us
He’ll save with a mighty hand
Every man, every woman, every child,
With a mighty flash!
"General Kaka, Flash Gordon approaching"
"What do you mean, 'Flash Gordon approaching?
Open fire! All weapons!
Dispatch war rocket Ajax to bring back his body"

Flash
Ah
"Gordon’s alive!"
Flash
Ah
He’ll save every one of us

Just a man
With a man’s courage
He knows nothing but a man
But he can never fail
No one but the pure in heart
May find the golden grail
Oh, oh, oh, oh
"Flash! Flash, I love you!
But we only have fourteen hours to save the earth!"

Flash!

I love this song
Nas:"Just A Moment"
(featuring Quan)

[Verse 1: Quan]
Can we please have a moment of silence? *dramatic pause*
That's for my niggaz doin' years in confinement
And for my soldiers who passed over, no longer living
That couldn't run whenever the reaper came to get 'em
Can we please pour out some liquor?*dramatic pause*
Symobolizin', let's take in time to consider that
Though our thugs ain't here, the love is here
And we gon' rep 'til slugs kill us here
This for my dawgs stuck in the struggle tryin' to gain
Smokin' trauma, sniffin' Ra while sellin' cocaine
Trapped in the game, not knowin' how to stop and get by
To live it alive, so instead they live it to die
Can we please have a moment of peace?*dramatic pause*
For every G that fell for his flag in the streets
Bloodin' and thuggin', folkin' and lokin'
Crypin' and creepin', Latin and kingin'
Or just for poor righteous teachin'

[Chorus: Quan sings]
As day comes and night falls
For the rest of our life we'll miss y'all
And even though life must go on, we'll still mourn
While wishin' y'all were home

[Verse 2: Nas]
Yeah, and can we have another moment of silence?*dramatic pause*
For brothers who died from black-on-black violence
From here to the Dark Continent were rebels sell diamonds
To clients all over the world, got little Black girls dyin'
And can we please pour some more liquors?*dramatic pause*
For Will, Bokeem, Bar, Pappy -- my niggaz
Here's another Warrior Song from Nasty and Quan
It's to him I pass the baton to carry this on
Street's Disciple, salute to those who's gone with bullets
And I promise through rhymin' Quan gon' rep his life to the fullest
And can we please have a moment of truth?*dramatic pause*
For soldiers and troops away with helmets and boots
And families back home who pray they make it home safe
Hopin' that they don't get hit with a stray or missiles
This is just a moment to let you all know that we miss you
Mommy I'm still here, wishin' I was there with you
Let's take 'em home

[Chorus]

[Verse 3: Quan]
And can we please have a moment to mourn?*dramatic pause*
For Pac, Biggie and Pun 'cause through us they live on
Jam Master Jay, Freaky Tah and Aaliyah
Big L and Left Eye, when we die we hope to see ya

Can we please have a moment for children?*dramatic pause*
Who got raped or murdered, or trapped in the system
Who never knew their father, never learned to dream
But was guided by drug dealers, killers and crack fiends
For single mothers that's forced to play mom and dad
Bustin' her ass to give her kids s*** she never had
For my niggaz in the pen hopin' rhymes'll get 'em signed
So when released, they can say bye to a life of crime

For every mother that held a son in the street bleedin'
Cryin' a song of sorow to dark and deep for speakin'
[Quan sings] Just a moment outside the day to day struggle
To let the ones we really care about know that we love 'em

[Chorus]

Poke And Destroy - THE PRESIDENTS OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

Girls, girls, girls, girls are so polite
They don't crush everything that they see
You can take 'em to a funky funky forest with big glass spiderwebs
Hangin' from the ceilin'
They wouldn't feel the uncontrollable urge
To tip and push and kick and rip and tear and smash and squish and...

Poke and destroy
Poke and destroy
Poke and destroy
I'm a boy, I wanna poke and destroy!
Poke and destroy
Poke and destroy
Poke and destroy
I'm a boy, I wanna poke and destroy!

I want to poke!

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!

(and destroy!)

Boys, boys, boys, boys are set to kill
They wanna crush everything that they see
You could take 'em to a creepy museum with dinosaur bones
Hangin' from the ceilin'
They'd feel the uncontrollable urge
To tip and push and kick and rip and tear and smash and squish and'

Poke and destroy!
Poke and destroy!
Poke and destroy!
I'm a boy, I wanna poke and destroy!
Poke and destroy!
Poke and destroy!
Poke and destroy!
I'm a boy, I wanna poke and destroy!

(poke, poke, poke, poke, poke, poke, poke, poke, poke, poke, poke and destroy!)
I want to poke!

(kick it down, rip it down, burn it down and kick it! Yeah!)
And destroy

(and we'll do it 500 more times!)

Ahhhh...Ahhhh...Ahhhh...Ahhhh!

Out in the wild with a girl I know
She see a little thing in the sand
She pretend to leave it alone, leave the creature in it's home
But I don't understand

If I find a delicate thing
I wonder how it would look split at the seams
Girls talk, say "it's beautiful"
I gotta poke it to know it, I gotta LIGHT IT ON FIRE AND...

Poke and destroy!
Poke and destroy!
Poke and destroy!
I'm a boy, I wanna poke and destroy!
Poke and destroy!
Poke and destroy!
Poke and destroy!
I'm a boy, I wanna poke and destroy!
Poke and destroy! (and destroy)
Poke and destroy! (and destroy)
Poke and destroy! (and destroy)
Poke and destroy! (and destroy)
Poke and destroy! (and destroy)
Poke and destroy! (and destroy)
Poke and destroy! (and destroy)
I'm a boy, I wanna poke and destroeeeee!
In memorian: Fiona; Ravager; Lestat; Phreddie; and all of those from the 1500 incident. Lest we forget.

 That was...
Unusual?

Well, I've wanted to post this song, and now seems like a good time to do it. Here's to much spam ahead, friends. :) :D

THE SHOW MUST GO ON -- Queen

Empty spaces
What are we living for?
Abandoned places
I guess we know the score
On and on
Does anybody know what we are looking for?

Another hero
Another mindless crime
Behind the curtain
In the pantomime
Hold the line
Does anybody want to take it anymore?

The show must go on
The show must go on
Yeah
Inside my heart is breaking
My makeup may be flaking
But my smile still stays on

Whatever happens
I'll leave it all to chance
Another heartache
Another failed romance
On and on
Does anybody know what we are living for?
I guess I'm learning
I must be warmer now
I'll soon be turning (turning, turning, turning)
'Round the corner now
Outside the dawn is breaking
But inside in the dark, I'm aching to be free

The show must go on
The show must go on
Yeah
Ooh inside my heart is breaking
My makeup may be flaking
But my smile still stays on

Yeah
Oh, oh, oh

My soul is painted like the wings of butterflies
Fairy tales of yesterday will grow, but never die!
I can fly
My friends

The show must go on
Yeah
The show must go on
I'll face it with a grin
I'm never giving in
On with the show

I'll top the bill
I'll overkill
I have to find the will to carry on
On with the,
On with the show

The show must go on, go on, go on, go on

How appropriate OS. Good choice :D .

Here's my own dedication to the SF:

"Hey Hey, My MY (Into the Black)"
-Neil Young, Rust Never Sleeps (with a slight lyrical twist courtesy of yours truly)

Hey hey, my my
Rock and roll can never die
There’s more to the picture
Than meets the eye.
Hey hey, my my.

Out of the blue and into the black
You pay for this, but they give you that
And once you’re gone, you can’t come back
When you’re out of the blue and into the black.

The king is gone but he’s not forgotten
Is this the story of the *Spaaaaam Factory*?
It’s better to burn out ’cause rust never sleeps
The king is gone but he’s not forgotten.

Hey hey, my my
Rock and roll can never die
There’s more to the picture
Than meets the eye.
"Be thankful you're healthy."
"Be bitter you're not going to stay that way."
"Be glad you're even alive."
"Be furious you're going to die."
"Things could be much worse."
"They could be one hell of a lot better."

Btw, nice song, very fitting.

Hehehe, yeah, they are a rather strange band. Let's have another one shall we! :D

Munky River - THE PRESIDENTS OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

In the hazy light I see
Lonely crow, dark green dream
I got no paddle and I got no shoes
I'm solo in a rawhide canoe

Hundreds of them little bug eyes
Them drooly runny glassy eyes
Smilin' through the foggy soup
I crack a grin and laugh in tune

And I would love to float...on...munky river
I would love to float...on...

(yeah, I would)

Hoo!

Sad lip hang out on a limb
Purple paw pluckin a guitar
All string broke except for two
Careful chimp, CARESS THE BASS

Waters' only shallow deep
Munkies dip into the river
Black and blue moon light up the leaves
Cypress branches chuckle and shiver

And I would love to float...on...munky river
I would love to float...on...munky river
I would love to float...on...munky river
I would love to float...on...

Woo!

Yeah! (Float on, c'mon, c'mon!)

(Yeah boy!)

And on the last soft oxbow
Munkies wave goodbye (good bye)
I patch my boat with chewin' gum
This purple haze is easy on my...

I would love to float...on...munky river
I would love to float...on...munky river
I would love to float...on...munky river
I would love to float...on...munky river

I'd love to float on munky river!
I'd love to float on munky river!
I'd love to float on munky river!
I'd love to float on munky river!

On!
On!
On!
On!

I've found a suitable song for SF, it's from an Aussie band.

Since You've Been Gone - POWDERFINGER

There's a truth begging to be told as the blues grab and take a hold
To continue like this only acts as a force for no good

I just want to say that I miss you and I've felt pitiful since you've been gone
I'm just trying to say I need something I can lean against
So I'm gonna steady myself on a reliable friend

There's a weight dragging through my days that I spend trying to fill the space
That's been there since the day that we parted and made our goodbyes
There's a truth begging to be told as the blues grab and take a hold
And I just can't believe when I wake up that you could be gone
In memorian: Fiona; Ravager; Lestat; Phreddie; and all of those from the 1500 incident. Lest we forget.

oh, my dedication to the SF?! Here then.

Neil Young: "Helpless"

There is a town in north Ontario,
With dream comfort memory to spare,
And in my mind
I still need a place to go,
All my changes were there.

Blue, blue windows behind the stars,
Yellow moon on the rise,
Big birds flying across the sky,
Throwing shadows on our eyes.
Leave us

Helpless, helpless, helpless
Baby can you hear me now?
The chains are locked
and tied across the door,
Baby, sing with me somehow.

Blue, blue windows behind the stars,
Yellow moon on the rise,
Big birds flying across the sky,
Throwing shadows on our eyes.
Leave us

Helpless, helpless, helpless.

KoRn - Word Up!

Ohh!
Yo pretty ladies around the world
Got a weird thing to show you
So tell all the boys and girls
Tell your brother, your sister
And your mama too
We're about to go down
And you know just what to do

Wave your hands in the air
Like you don’t care
Glide by the people as they start to look and stare
Do your dance
Do your dance
Do your dance quick mama, come on baby tell me what’s the word
Word up (up,up)
Everybody say when you hear the call you
You've got to get it underway Word up (up,up)
it’s the code word
No matter where you say it
You know that you’ll be heard

Now all you sucker. D.J.’s
Who think you’re fly
There’s got to be a reason
And we know the reason why
You try to put on those airs and act real cool
But you've got to realize
That you’re acting like fools
If there’s music we can use it
We need to dance
We don’t have the time
For psychological romance
No romance
No romance
No romance for me mama
Come on baby tell me what’s the word
The word up (up,up)
Everybody say when you hear the call you
You've got to get it underway

Word up (up,up)
it’s the code word
No matter where you say it
You know that you’ll be heard

woo!!

Word up (up,up)
Everybody say when you hear the call you
You've got to get it underway

Word up (up,up)
it’s the code word
No matter where you say it
You know that you’ll be heard

Word up (up,up)
Everybody say when you hear the call you
You've got to get it underway

Word up (up,up)
it’s the code word
No matter where you say it
You know that you’ll be heard
Xal Lloth inbal kalith pholor dos, rivvil!

"
Chocolate" - Sno Patrol

This could be the very minute
I'm aware I'm alive
All these places feel like home

With a name I'd never chosen
I can make my first steps
As a child of 25

This is the straw, final straw in the
Roof of my mouth as I lie to you
Just because I'm sorry doesn't mean
I didn't enjoy it at the time

You're the only thing that I love
It scares me more every day
On my knees I think clearer

Goodness knows I saw it coming
Or at least I'll claim I did
But in truth I'm lost for words

What have I done it's too late for that
What have I become truth is nothing yet
A simple mistake starts the hardest time
I promise I'll do anything you ask...this time

Do I love this song? YES :D
In the part "Just like thunder the crowds began to roar" There is a roar. So powerful...

And The Bands Played On - Saxon

Just before dawn in the cold light
We came out of the night
A great expectation from the man who ran the show
Will it rain, will it snow, will it shine, we don't know
Are there clouds up in the sky

We sat in the sun, woah-oh-oh
And the bands played on
And the bands played on
And the bands played on

See the people, feel the power
There was sixty thousand there
Just like thunder the crowds began to roar
Where you there, did ya know, did ya see all the show
There was magic in the air

We sat in the sun woah-oh-oh
And the bands played on
And the bands played on
And the bands played on

See the rainbow shining brightly
Shooting rockets to the sky
Making music and it rolled on through the night
You could hear on the air rock n' roll everywhere
We were strangers in the night

We sat in the sun woah-oh-oh
And the bands played on
And the bands played on
And the bands played on
And the bands played on
And the bands played on

I think you may have to hear this, but I love it

Ride On

True you ride the finest horse I have ever seen
Standing sixteen, one or two, with eyes wild and green
And you ride the horse so well, hands light to the touch
I could never go with you no matter how I wanted to

Ride on, see you, I could never go with you
No matter how I wanted to

When you ride into the night without a trace behind
Run your claw along my gut, one last time
I turn to face an empty space, where once you used to lie
And look for a spark that lights the night
Through a teardrop in my eye

Chorus

Christie Moore

And this one is based on the story of the last witch burned in Orkney. A short story by George McKay Brown tells what happened.

The Dreadful End Of Marianna For Sorcery

Marianna o' the Howe was a young lassie wi' gowden hair
Sweet and honest, true and bonnie, and lover of one John Sinclair
Marianna met the factor at the dawning, at the fold
And he said, "Lie with me now, Marianna, and you will not want for gold"

"Well, I thank you for your offer, but I fear it canna be
I maun lie with John Sinclair, for he's the only one for me"
So the factor, sore affronted, whispered evil of her name
Every sorrow and misfortune 'twas Marianna was to blame

Soon there came a deputation Marianna for to see
For to slight her reputation, "The de'il has laid his hands on ye
Ye've soured the cream and blighted the corn and danced wi' fairies on the hill
Ye who are of devil born and ye who bow to no man's will"

Seven evenings, seven mornings they spoke of Marianna ill
There they shamed her, stripped her and maimed her, but they never tamed her will
"Let her sweetness not deceive you, evil hides itself right well
Once within, it will never leave you, Marianna, you'll burn in hell"

"Who are these who stand against me? Who are these who slight my name?
Let them tell their lies before God and let them hang their heads in shame"
Then she saw a sight that grieved her, all the hope inside her died
John Sinclair all clad in satin standing at the factor's side

"I was child and now a woman, but I shall be no man's wife
For my love has me forsaken, and I want no more of this life"
They've shorn the hair from Marianna, the witch's snare o' gowden thread
Marched her tae the Gallowsha' and whipped her sair until she bled

In the crowd she spied her lover, and he had his new coat on
Soon the flames danced all above her, and the people danced 'til the dawn
Marianna o' the Howe, was a young lassie wi' gowden hair
Sweet and honest, true and bonnie, betrayed by the factor and John Sinclair
