It's Deva...not some opera singer from The Fifth Element :D

iirc it's only two Glabrezu's

Blur makes you harder to hit and you can have as many animals as you like if you use simulacrum and project image, you can have an endless supply of summons. And if you re-equip your staff of magi you can be invisible, cast a spell, and be invisible again. If you use ring of the ram you can use it, put it in a container to recharge it and the use it again.

The reason I choose a WS was mainly to do something different and I have found its a lot of fun.

With ToB you can use healing potions and BoS as MDN said.

I've found that even with no rings etc my AC is still good as I give the best armour to my PC and dish out all the goodies to my NPC's. I have Keldon and Ano as the tanks and myself as the killing machine as the bad dudes are distracted. BoS with Dual-wielding **** on long swords makes for some swift damage.

I have a balanced group (instead of having an uber PC surrounded by average NPC's) and have found it to be fun from a RP perspective.

As with any harder battle there is usually a pesky mage or thief in the group that needs attention so that is usually my PC's job. Its good fun not to power play for a change.

At this stage, only lvl 10, there havn't really been any benefits over a standard fighter but I'm going all the way through ToB so by the end of that expect to be quite a force :D

So... any others ways to increase my MR? (will not dual class to thief), IIRC isn't their a MR shield?

Sorry, it's not just two Glabrezu's it's more than 6.( can't remember exact number) And each time you kill one, Demogorgon summons a new glabrezu.

I was going through some of the old threads and found one related to the PC improvements in Chapter 9 (SPOILER)

Would the 10% MR recieved here carry over to ToB?
If so that would be a handy 28% MR going into ToB with still more to come.

With improved random encounters and/or improved thief stronghold installed, you can amass quite a stash of dispelling arrows and become ultra annoying to enemy mages. Dispel, hit with a few acid/piercing/et.al. arrows, spell failure is cumulative with each successful hit and should stack and you have a "softened up" mage. MR is nice, as high as you can get it, so you have protection and can stay away from the frontline preferably.

I played a wizard slayer through the end of ToB once (without any mods, hence I didn't have a stash of dispelling arrows) and IIRC I went for proficiencies in short bows, spears & 2-handed. Rather a "classic" arrangement for the wizard slayer but made sense given you cannot get the best protective items and wouldn't make the most effective frontline tank.

After playing around for a bit I think i'v MR pretty high: (SPOILERS)

Wizard Slayer
SoA only:
Sword of Balduran (as Gnome said) 10%
Human Skin 20% (evil only)
Wizard Slayer up to 30ish% (not exactly sure)
Trial in hell 10%
Shield of the Lost 5%

75% (maybe 70% as I can't remember if that shield is in SoA)
is pretty good considering you could have Vic in your party and she has high MR aswell (60%). That still leaves Carsomyr (although this is an evil party so far) and other equipment say for Korgan (about 30%MR).

Have clerics learn protection from magic fire/cold, resist fire/cold a couple of times and your left with a formidable group against magic practitioners.
