If your conversations with Bastila progress far enough, she eventually tells you that she's come to a decision about the bond you share and her feelings towards you, but she doesn't want to discuss it where anyone could hear. She asks you talk to her again next time you're aboard the Ebon Hawk. So you go back to your ship, run up to her and initiate dialogue again. The two of you go off to the crew quarters to have a little chat. Play your cards right, and you get a kiss.

I always choose that dialogue tree that ends with her saying "Alright, you've made your point. Now shut up and kiss me, you fool!"

If you missed out on this, just try talking to her more often during the game. Like, every time you land on a planet, and at least twice while you're there. If the only dialogue options you get are "Can you show me one of those visions again?" and "Nothing, never mind." then she probably won't say anything again until you've found another Star Map.

So there you go. How to get to first base with Bastila. :)

R. Christensen mentioned that if you try to talk to Bastila about that little interlude on the ship it will affect the latter stages of the romance if you're a Darksider. Does it have any noticeable effect if you're following the Light? I've avoided asking her about the kiss for this reason.

Also, who turns out the light for a kiss, honestly? I didn't think Bioware were that conservative. Not when you consider the innuendo about a certain hapless "personal assistant" droid on Dantooine. Poor guy - I let him continue to function.

From what I know, if you talk to her after the kiss, there is a bug that will reset the romance value back to zero, which affects the options dialogue at the Temple Summit. As a result, you'll not have access to those options. It does not affect the dialogue options on the Star Forge though.

I'll post this here, because I just don't want to make another topic for one question, you know.. ;)

Anyhow. I'm playing with a female scout, light side. I'm now on Dantooine, I've flirted with Carth on Taris but since he told me about Saul betraying him and everything, there has been no dialogue at all. I've tried to talk to him, but the only options there are only the basic ones ("Never mind", "What do you know about this planet etc.."). So I'm just checking here.. Have I already blew the romance up or is he just moping and will talk later? This is the first time I'm playing, so I don't really know.. Great game, otherwise. (I just HAD TO add that to the end. ;) )

Just wait to level up a bit, and it will trigger new dialog options.

i've played as a guy like 6 times, trying to get bastila, but she never says anything about wanting to talk to me later. I've tried not talking to her about romance, and vice versa. I dont understand what i'm suppose to do to get her to say that! What kinda things should i tell her?

You can romance Juhani, but only if your character is female. No, I am not kidding. Calm down.

The regular romances are only mildly tricky. You have to talk to the characters regularly - new dialogue options are triggered each time you level, and you have to go through one to get to the next. If the side quest for either character comes up - Bastila's mother, Carth's son - you must get a GOOD ending or the romance will end. This means Bastila must reconcile with her mother, and Carth must reconcile with his son. Killing Dustil or not talking to Carth regularly enough before a Certain Encounter and Revelation are the most common reasons for mucking up the Carth romance that I've seen.

Other than that, it's pretty straightforward. And you can in fact romance either one as a darksider, so long as you don't tell them to piss off.

I think you mean, "I am kidding." There is no such romantic relationship in the game. ;)

Not a full romance, no. But if you're female and you've gone through all her dialogues, she'll tell you just after the temple that she has feelings for you. Developers on the Bioware forums have agreed that it's there intentionally, and that it's not platonic. So, you're right, and I apologize to anyone I sent off in search of wild Juhani lovin'. But there is female-only romantic interaction with the character.

Is it me ?

I seem to remember that on two consecutive occasions Juhani said something to my male character along the lines of being glad to be around me but sad she "did not have my heart as well", or words of that ilk.
Being a known and registered felinophile I was rather hoping to be able to go and chat her up, but alas....

However, knowing felines, if they'd fancy your heart it would probably arrive minced, in a bowl.
