YES! YES! Buy this game. No lies. It is the best RPG out there. It will only get better with Throne of Bhaal expansion coming out May 31. I didn't think i would like RPGs and Diablo 2 is boring but BG2 is the best game ever!

BG2 IS THE BEST GAME EVER MADE. There should be a drug to fight the BG2 addiction. Once i started playing BG2 I had no life (not sure I had one before though
). BG2 is a must-get. *bump*

BGII is a good game to buy, one can replay the game several times without getting bored, since there are hundreds of quests and some are class specific. Each class is a different game.
btw, Diablo II is just a how fast one can click game. I got bored after 5 days.

Diablo II is fun, but in BGII you'll find a great story, great battles, great character interactions, a lot of kits....what do you want more????? About the exp. cap, you can use the cap remover.......if you want

My opinion is a little different than the consensus. First buy BG then buy BG2. The overall story is better if you start from the beginning.
