I play bass, drums and guitar, but have trouble singing, i really enjoy writing lyrics though and music of course. Does anyone like Ween their trippy I also really like MR Bungle, Rage Against the Machine, Radiohead, Fear Factory, Deicide, Slayer, Henry Rollins, Puddle of Mudd, the presidents of the USA(first album anyway), John Butler trio, Sevendust, White Stripes, and how could i forget such great bands like CRADLE OF FILTH or MACHINE HEAD

I play drums and sing and am in a band with the guy that does all the coding in my website... We are currently recording music for our website YAY

Anyone make electronika techno or trance, i do as a sideline, by myself, i think its easy fun and a great outlet from "real music" if i dare say that it isnt exactley real in my seanse of the word

Have dabbled a little making some Trance (at least I'd lable them somewhat as trance ) tracks using some musical software, a few years ago. Still keep some of the tracks around and listen to them every now and again, because I rather like them
But I'm not musical enough to actually start composing my own samples - I'm much better at using other peoples samples

I enjoy listening to a smattering of everything. Excellent musicianship always draws my attention, whether it's a folk song, Slayer (I remember when they first hit the scene in the 80s), or David Tanenbaum's transcriptions of Scarlatti's works for the harpsichord, executed beautifully on his six string classical guitar. I have a penchant for metal though, as well as the more classic hard rock that preceeded it, such as Black Sabbath, and Led Zeppelin. Blue Oyster Cult is one of my all-time favorites, as is REO Speedwagon, and ELO. I love the blues. I particularly enjoy Jazz Fusion. Not too long ago I discovered Celtic music for the first time, and love listening to Lunasa and Seamus Eagan. That's not all, just some drops in the bucket.

It's hard to say if Iced Earth's really like a lot of the other bands. They're definitely metal, but they've got a lot of influence from Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Black Sabbath, Alice Cooper, and AC/DC. If you mix those all together, and then add their rythm guitarist and the voice of the last vocalist they had, you've got a band that will definitely knock your socks off!

Their rythm guitarist has amazing speed, rythm change, and compatibility of his notes to the vocals, while their last vocalist (who left, and was replaced by former Judas Priest singer Tim "Ripper Owens) had a voice range that would astound anyone. Still, the best way to find out how they sound is to hear their music for yourself. Trust me, you'll likely be glad that you did.

Isnt it hard to try and think of all your favourites when there are so many and so many genres to try and place your favourites in and then your favourit genre. Although some more of my favs are Primus, the Bloodhound Gang, Audioslave, Claymore, Ashplatter, Cyprus Hill, Cannibal Corpse, My Dying Bride, Tiamat, Slipknot, Cat Stephens, Metallica, Smashing Pumpkins, Disturbed, Van Morrison, Radiohead, Chemical Brothers, to name only but a mere few
The question "Whats your favourite" has always got to me as i belive that all music is emotional and that i favour differant musics to help express, alleviate or foster a certain mood i am in or wish to be in.
When your making music i belive its totally diferant however as it can get plain old tiring or frustrating, and the high of playing to a live crowd is just exhilarating.

Definitely not, I really like them. I just haven't really heard enough by them to consider them a favourite (I tend to listen to their songs as they come out, and lose interest as they are overplayed).

I started playing on an acoustic guitar 2 months ago, and i can play a few songs. I have also been playing the drums since the 3rd grade, but im not too terribly good. i've found however, that i can nearly mimic corey's (slipknot) voice, thats a good start! anyway, is anyone here a koRn fan?
if so, have you been to any place where they played?

regarding true favs. I like some of my music very heavy, and some very dark yet melodic, with creepy ambience and vocals.

its nice to see culture and flavor on this board, instead of the same old word games and political issues i see so much. not that i dont like talking about those things, i just dont like repetition.

Waaay too true. Linkin Park has a problem with being overplayed too....it makes the songs almost annoying after awhile

I'm a rock girl. I love my classic rock, my Ozzy, my Hendrix, my Ani DiFranco... and lots in between. And I'm a blues girl. Clapton, Muddy Waters, Billie Holiday... ahhh good stuff.

I am listening to alot of classic rock these days like Queen, Bad Company, David Bowie, Rush, the Police and stuff. Not bad. I am still a heavy metal and heavy rock fan but this is good easy listening music.

I love jazz! I live for it. I play the alto saxophone. I also like techno and trance. My favorite non-jazz band is definitely Pink Floyd. Some of the jazz musicians that I listen to are Paul Desmond, John Conltrane, Miles Davis, Thelonious Monk (I love that name, hehe), Dave Brubeck, and many others. If you're into jazz, swing, big band, techno, or the saxophone, talk to me if you feel like it.

Techno is awesome, some rock is nice, heavy metal like metalica is good, or Korn. Other then that I also like Linkin Park, and various old songs I hear on the radio.

I'm a big fan of Italian Dance lately. Dance itself isn't bad either, but I only like 10% of the Dance songs.

I think Moby is great, just like Coldplay.
And I enjoy R&B and Enya every now and then.

I like punk rock bands,like NOFX.I used to like Linkin Park but my brother played it over and over again,so now I hate it.
