The one I really hate is how you cannot enter Mandalorian cache on Dxun unless you get the explosives in a totally unrelated incident from a totally different NPC on another planet. Oh, and you get only one change to get them during a specific situation that only occurs once... It's a great game, but stuff like that is really frustrating.
Heh heh, perhaps Obsidian could defend it as "realism"?

While K2 doesn't quite live up to the promise in content-terms (still one of my favourite games, though), I'm quite for games which have limited opportunities to access certain quests/areas. It makes replaying much more worthwhile.
It seems that game companies today tend to ignore replayability, and substitute it with a "multiplayer" option, which is hardly the same.

I'd agree with that, except in the real world, you could actually ask an arms merchant for explosives when you need them. In KotOR2 you can't, and if you play Dantooine before Onderon, you actually need to ask for it before your need arises. Very bad.

I've replayed TSL many times, including recently, which is a testament to how much I love the plot. But nonsense like this is just really frustrating. It's not good when you have to cheat to make up for bugs in a game.

Frankly, I don't like to think about what TSL could have been, if LA had allowed Obsidian to finish the full development cycle or even do a content patch like they wanted to. Because when I think about it, it makes me either want to cry or become violent...
