This would bring the thread so far off... but by the rules, only Evil aligned Rangers can have their own race as a Favoured Enemy.. and since Drizzt is pretty much Good.. :D I cannot recall off hand, if typically evil creatures have a note on that.

Drizzt is more of a surface elf at heart than a drow. Maybe that has something to do with it. And there are normally exceptions to every rule.

Such as how one handles favoured enemies when one's own race is evil.
