That's what I got, too, bishop. It's possible she did it so that the True Sith would be blinded to the Force, and would be severely weakened. Also, and this is a bit more likely, she did it in order that the Jedi who still lived would fight to regain their power, and as they did they would go through what the Exile went through, and this would make them even stronger.
She wanted to create another wound in the force, kinda like what the exile was by destroying Malachor I think? The echo from the planet's destruction would um... echo...? through the force, blocking out all force users from being able to use it. At least that's what I got from it.
Is this why the planet is not destroyed at the end? I'm confused because as the remote I went and did something to the republic ships to blow up the planet but this never happens in my ending. I just finished the game and found it extremely anti climactic.

The planet should be destroyed at the end but it was cut from the game
what should happen is Hk 47 walks in on go-to go to calls up some hk 51s to destroy the remote and hk 47 but the 51's cant destroy hk 47 becasue he is there predeceser hence he ugly floating ball is destroyed and the planet blows up

The planet does blow up on Lightside ending. At least I could have sworn that's what I saw... DS ending is the exile killing Kriea but just taking over Malachor I believe.

so, kreia just wanted to strengthen jedi by blinding them from it? well, this sounds more like a time-out for force sensitives now. i guess she didnt hate the force :( oh, well!

i still think this whole concept is, well, odd. its just that even the jedi masters admitted that not every1 could regain their connection to the force. this is one of the reasons why the exile was special. why would kreia risk that for all jedi/sith? she only wanted the exile to benifit? i dont know...and then, didnt she say something about how perhaps the force really wasnt such a gift as many thought it to be (or was that another character...)? its just her motives arent really clear to me. its almost like shes saying, "the powers of the force should be reserved only for those who can truly handle it," all of this being her own opinion.

she didn't wanna strengthen the Jedi. She wanted to cut EVERYONE off from the force. Be it Jedi or Sith.
