You forgot the one about living with someone that you met over the internet, a process that would not be possible without technology.
I think that would only count as technology taking over your life if your girlfriend was robotic
LOL@DW whoever heard of people hooking up with people they met in the street, eh?

DW, it is indeed a bizarre idea and apparently it's not even that unlikely a situation anymore. A lot of people meet up via friends reunited, not quite the same thing since they've technically already met and most of those meet ups are for one night stands but, well, it is at least one example.
Apparently another great place to pick up women is a supermarket, surely one of the least sexy places on the planet?

I did get chatted up in a supermarket once. This bloke was walking down the biscuit aisle and I thought he said something to me but it turned out he was just talking to himself. He was looking for fig rolls. And then showed me pictures of his kids.
Presumably the supermarket is supposed to be good for picking up women because they are a place where there are a lot of women, your chances are better.

At least that was all he showed you pictures of, good thing it wasn't a double polaroid

Maybe it's all the suggestive fruit and veg?

It probably also depends on the variety of women/men you are hoping to meet.
Presumably, the ones you encounter in a supermarket will have a wider range of interests than those you meet in some pubs

Each to his own
@DW. More likely to be bored and resentful of the men in their lives ?

@Fiona,
You may have a point there! And if a man is in a supermarket there is even a moderate chance that he's at least partially housebroken...

But at least in the pub you'd know you have at least one common interest.
I suppose you could size up how suitable a man would be from what he has in his trolley.

Drinking beer?
Precisely! If he has a bunch of vegetables, fruit, meat etc. and a conspicuous lack of prepared foods, chances are that he knows how to cook. Always an asset in my books

So easily pervertable, meat and oranges in a trolley...
I'll leave this be.

Come to think of it, I seem to have a lot of meat...

Bah! they'd prefer the guy if he had a Fiancée to break up with. Women like this love sacrifice story stuff.

@ Lestat,
ROFL

Well, this is Game Banshee afterall. Given that this is supposed to be an all ages forum, we have to be creative in coming up with our euphemisms

Try not to go too heavy on the meat there... I hear to much can cause...er.. blockage in the plumbing, so to speak
Which, in turn, leads to believe he's no longer single.
Not necessarily. My SO was a very good cook when I first met him, he'd taught himself. In fact, most of the men I've ever known have been able to cook

@Fiona,
sorry about that
Though, do keep in mind, anyone can be trained to cook... it just takes the right amount of.... incentive.... :devil:

Surely a good basis for any stable relationship.

Exactly.

I always seem to have to teach them, fortunately mine is willing to learn.

The best way to reach a woman's heart is through her stomach. I've proven this a few times, doing my macarroni and cheese dishes, and also when cooking fish. So, if a man is a man and dont know how to cook, he may consider himself handicapped. Enough said.

But he can make up for it by buying enough chocolate and ice cream.
