My suggestion, just buy the Game of the Year edition, which includes both expansions, and play it to see how you like it. You can pick up Morrowind GOTY pretty cheap these days, so you can't lose.
I ordered it from Amazon for $18 last night. :) LOL
That is what I suspected. So, from what I can tell, DaemonJ should have no trouble dealing with Morrowind.
That is good news indeed.

Thank you again to everyone for their help and information, especially Rookierookie on the technical stuff. ;)
Great spirits have always found violent opposition from mediocre minds. The latter cannot understand it when a person does not thoughtlessly submit to hereditary prejudices but honestly and courageously uses their intelligence.

If you need any help with gameplay, remember to check the database here, and the GameBanshee walkthrough. Anything left over, we'll be glad to field. :)
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

I will definitely check those out and I have already added all of the links for the mods to my bookmarks so that I will be ready to go.

Not to get entirely off-topic here... but your description of BG/BG2 is actually more applicable to the IWD series, which is heavily focused on battle and strategy.
Most people (at least those I've met here at GB anyway) love BG2 for the story, dialogue and NPC interaction.... As I mentioned above, it are these elements that I find Morrowind lacks.

However, I find I need to play Morrowind alongside BG2 or PS:T these days. I love the contrast of complete freedom of lovely graphics to the more structured style of the Black Isle games.

I have to agree with DW in that the IW series is known for being hack and slash style while the BG series is known more for the overall story. Take PS:T and add more combat and you have the BG series.
