Actually, the Two Heavens fighting style didn't use two katanas. It used the daisho pair, a Katana and a wakizashi (companion sword)

Is there an item in tob that improves attacks per round? I thought the answerer did that, but I checked stats, no go.

Realistically and gaming style wise, I think celestial fury and kundane is probably the best combo. think katana and a short, slightly heavier double edged wakisashi.

Historically, the first japanese warrior swords before they invented the single edged slahing blade, they got their swords from china. chinese swords are two edged, so its completely concievable that a family tradition for a samurai would be to use a katana, but his family heirloom style of sword fighting is to use the secondary double edged short sword in the off hand. and you would get the extra hits.

the big diff in style is when you back hand with a single edged blade you have to turn wrist so the backhand slash follow thru for a forehand cut would be with edge first. double edged swords you don't have to do that, but because you can add the unsharped back spine on a single edged sword, the single edged sword is stronger per weight. thus, its jsut a matter of style, and it would make sense for the off hand short sword to have two edges for faster strikes with the off hand.

What I wish this game had would be heavy calvary rapiers and main gauche, the parrying dagger.
