@Buck - I have not had the problem viewing site content, just the message boards. I am using a dial-up connection with AOL. I have done all the obvious things my end, the pc is not slow and I have downloaded all the latest access numbers from AOL...it is strange, and has only been happening this last week.
I wouldn't expect you to do any upgrade that may result in expense just because one person has reported slow down...I would be interested to know if anyone else is having similar problems. I know of one other, and they have cable connection so I am sure it is not my ISP...*shrugs*

I'm having an extremely tough time viewing the site, content and message boards. It takes about 5 minutes to load a page. The site content takes longer to load than the massage boards, which is a first for me...

@Gaxx: It may not be a problem with the site. check your cookies folder. If it's too full, it can cause massive slowdown.

@Aegis - I did all of that. No improvement at all. I ended up having to restore my system (Win ME) this has helped somewhat...though the Help Desk at AOL did mention I was not the first to call in about Gamebanshee

*lol* - the held desk at AOL knows of Gamebanshee
Well I think Win ME actually could be a problem seeing as it has problems releasing memory after useages.
This could somewhat explain the "lag" you say you have, caused by system memory to fill up.
I don't know for certain though if this is it, but I know I've had a lot of problems with Win ME - some where the browser started running very poor (and eventually other programs).
I had even at one time a usage of 1,5 GB virtuel memory
.
Otherwise I have no other concrete answer.

The slowdown was solely for GB, all other sites worked fine. I'm not expiriencing any problems now at GB.

Is GB your homesite? I've noticed sometimes that my browser slows down when loading the homesite, but speeds up afterwards.

That is probably because it is loading the program for Internet Explorer as well as the site at the same time, that would slow it down. You should IMO put the hompage blank (in IE use blank button in intenet options) that way the program has stopped loading and it is free to load the webpage.
