The poor guy. All he wants is a nice normal adventure and instead he gets demon bunnies, crazed aristocrats, and dungeon makers who leave important artifacts out in the open. Makes it kind of hard for him to take himself seriously, you know?

He didn't have to know what the sigh said. The fact that the artifact was on a pedestal made it's identity fairly clear (even to him).

Do you suppose there will ever be a bit part required for a monk?

I would love to be remembered for all posterity as a bit actor in Dungeon Crawl.

There were a few tavern scenes in the early days of DCI. Keep praising Kayless and you might end up as a beer-brewing monk who owns a tavern (the guys have to drink somewhere).
