Yeah, Kayless lives on positive feedback. :D
But we need to keep him motivated so we can enjoy our favo online comic. :)

It's getting to be hard work though. We have to butter him up here, on the "Mutants Unite" thread and also on the Top Web Comics boards. Whew!

What's wrong with being a retarded goblin? Image It's better than some other SYMian cameos. :p

And, for the record, I have never called you a hippy. As for the type of monk ... well, I'm a beer-brewing monk! But I suppose that would be tough to get into a DCI comic. How about a cleric-y monk?
I may be able to work something in there... ;)

There were a few tavern scenes in the early days of DCI. Keep praising Kayless and you might end up as a beer-brewing monk who owns a tavern (the guys have to drink somewhere).

I think issue #34 was our last real tavern scene. I'll have to get back to that. :)

I'm motivated! :D But if DCI gets any more popular I'm gonna run out of bandwith before the end of the month. :o

You think sucking up is hard work, try doing your own web comic! :p

Just a thought - if you can hire a squad of kobolds to draw your comic, maybe we can hire a squad to shower praise upon your work. Let's see how it goes...

[kobold generated praise] DCI good! Kayless smart man! Kayless draw picture that make me laugh! DCI funny comic! Me like Khaggoth because he green! [/kobold generated praise]

If you're satisfied with that, we'll leave the job to them in future.

I think I'd be more inpired with praise from nymphs instead of kobolds. Image

Nymphs don't come cheap, you know! Actually it's not so much the cost of the nymphs, it's the cost of the rose petals they would strew in your path wherever you walked....

Perhaps you can cut down on mb's if you create a voting link in your sig so we won't need to load your site first.
That way we'll use your bandwith only to view the comic. :)

It's not you guys that are the problem, it's the thousands of extra people I'm getting this month. I thought I'd get 10k hits sometime in June. Now it looks like I'll get there sometime this week!

A second cameo, eh....

Bring it, flower child! :D

I'm thinking about a kind of treat and punishment system here so we can influence Kay to do our bidding.

When we like the issue we can let the Kobolds do the showering (although I'm getting pretty freaky pictures here)

On the other hand, when we disapprove, the unknown SYMer (check tomorrow's newbie :D ) can post flowerpower related posts :D :D :D

The only flaw I can detect is that I can't seem to find a DCI issue I don't like.....(was this me or was this a nymph... you'll never know)

Hmmm, maybe I should change tactics. Henceforth anyone who calls me a hippy is denied a cameo in DCI. Image

Come place your votes! Put your money on who will be next, my money is one Z appearing in a Zorro kind of way. :D

Place your bets NOW!

There must be some way to turn this success into commercial $ucce$$.....

**thinks - having seen the cameos of SYMers in DCI, I don't think I really want one**

Nice Kaftan, Kayless - goes well with the beads and the flowers in your hair.

Heh, let the guessing begin. :D (it will be an ep or two before the cameo appears)

Is this reverse psychology? Oh hell, I'm just going to ignore hippy comments from now on. Makes things easier. :D

LOL, I think you made the lives of a whole bit of people just a little more bland now they can't call you a hippy.

Plus, what does a guy have to do now to get a cameo?

Well I put them in whenever they seem appropriate (though I don't usually plan them much ahead of time). Certain names are harder to work with than others though, so that's a factor too.

Heh Tybaltus is easy. Tybaltus is original and is unidentifiable to anyone who doesnt know me, and while it may shock and amaze you, I DONT really know anyone terribly famous. I know Dennis Eckersley, but I dont think ex-baseball pro's read DCI. :( (Maybe I can convince the future hall-of-famer to read it and vote for itImage)

Heh, and Tybaltus is a warrior-like name and can easily be associated with a glorious, yet humane knight, who owns the world's smartest and most helpful parrot. Image Heh...perhaps thats a LITTLE bit of a stretch, but you see where Im going. Image
