LOL
Well, it was only reading a few sources, nothing too strenuous...

Thursday's reading (quite a lot of Karl Marx, for my historiography seminar), I haven't even looked at yet...

Definately worth the effort
@CE Good day to you

@Ysh: Whenever I have a dead line, I keep the delusion "there is still plenty of time" until there's not quite enough time left. Then I work like crazy and make it anyway
Probably that's how you get yourself an early cardiac arrest
@Georgi: There's always tomorrow night for Marx

Is the historygraphic(?) course interesting as well?
EDIT: Good evening, sir Sleep, how are you today?

You don't think it might make them even less likely to come into fashion?

Yes, except that I have tickets for a preview of the new Nicole Kidman movie tomorrow...

Yeah, some of the ideas about the philosophy of history are interesting, some of the later topics sound more interesting (psychohistory, for instance), towards the end of the course I have to grapple with the concept of postmodernism...

Enjoy the movie

If it's a Nicole Kidman movie, it should provide good rest for your intellect
Psychohistory? What on earth is that?
Postmodernism

don't even start to mention it. I never got a grasp of that, to me it just seems like one big hole where you put everything that is not defined as another -ism.

Greetings all. An hour left of work and I have run out of steam.

So I'll spam a bit!

LOL

I don't know much about it, some kind of supernatural thriller I think... You're probably right
Psychohistory... I think, integrating psychoanalytical concepts into historical explanation... Quite a controversial approach, apparently, mostly criticised for downplaying social aspects.
Yes, I am quaking at the very thought of postmodernism...

Hi Gwally

Pint of beer?
Oh, how rude of me, should have offered you a drink, CE... anything for you?

Hi Georgi! Do you have any litres of beer? If not, I'll just have a nice mixed drink - your choice. I trust you implicitly.

Well, I actually think the psychoanalytic concepts work better to explain history than explaining the human mind
Sorry I've been away a while, I'm working at my report simultaneously. Thanks for the beer - I'm sure my ability to concentrate on my work will rise sky high
@Hello Gwally, still here?

LOL

Well, you're the expert
I just got kicked off the line by my housemate... back now though
@Gwally litres? Beer in litres? That's just all wrong...

*makes Gwally a Long Island Iced Tea instead, and gives CE another beer*

@Georgi: I look forward to hearing how on earth they integrate the psychoanalytic concepts with history

You have to tell me when you start reading that part of your course
I have to go off to bed now - for once, I have to go up really early tomorrow
Good night Georgi and Gwally, see you
