You are lucky then. :D
“Caw, Caw!” The call of the wild calls you. Are you listening? Do you dare challenge their power? Do you dare invade? Nature will always triumph in the end.

So you deny saying you loved animals? :D
What's wrong with chimps (ignoring going on dates with them, that is)?

Nope. I still love animals. :)

Chimps? Theyre ugly. And they are too popular with the population of humans. We like them too much. Theyre over-rated. :p

While on the topic of animals-there is a bird in Australia called the Bower bird-its supposed to make the most amazing nests on earth and they decorate them too. I was wondering if youve ever seen one of their nests.

Aha! :p A confession! :D

Really? I never thought they were all that popular, I far prefer orang-utans myself.
Gues you fo learn a new thing every day, even if that thing is sometimes "Today was a dull day." :D

I haven't seen a bower-bird nest up close, they're more in the Eastern States, but I might see one when I go over east in a few weeks. I've seen photos of their nests, but that's not really the same.

A confession indeed :p :D Interpret it as you want. :D

I really dont like any apes/chimps/monkeys/orangatangs except for the Great Apes, the big ones that can be found in Africa. Now those creatures are cool.

Im sure the nest must be quite a site. Obviously Ive never seen one in person-but the pictures Ive seen are amazing. Will you have a laptop on your trip or are we going to be missing you here at SYM?

Nope, no laptop for the 2 weeks. SYM will have to muddle along without me for a while, though I'm sure it'll survive. ;)

Ask me when I get back if I saw one of the nests, I'll probably have forgotten you were asking by the time I get back.

SYM without Ode for two weeks??
*dazes off and sees everybody of SYM dancing in a circle with a rainbow in the background, singing Cumbaya*
*snaps out of it*
*shudder*
Try to make it a trip a short one, if you can. ;) :D

Can't have people singing Cumbaya, that's for sure.
I'll be back and causing chaos before you know it, things won't get too boring while I'm gone. ;)

Sort of funny to think I've become a fixture of SYM though, I remember when I first found SYM seeing all the regulars and all the in-jokes etc and wondering if I'd ever get that level of easy familiarity with the people here. :)

Right. I dont know if the forum will sink that low without you. Im going to have to keep a weary eye out. :D ;)

Well with the name that youve got, how can you not be a fixture of SYM? :D I think I felt that same way in the first week I was here. I hope Ive made some sort of an impact here at SYM for the 7 weeks or so that Ive been here. I certainly have posted a lot. :D

A worthy cause if ever I heard one. :D

I can only assume everyone feels that way the first time they come to SYM, it's a lot different from the gaming forums somehow. I'd say you have (posting in tavern threads always helps ;) ), and your post count has gone up something chronic.

I've seen a couple of bowers. The satin bower bird loves blue stuff and will pinch anything blue (feathers, clothes pegs, scraps of cloth etc) to decorate its bowers.

I agree about the chimps. The ones in movies are usually about two years old, cute and managable. Full grown ones are big, cunning and vicious. Orangutans and gorillas are much gentler easygoing species. Either would be a better option for your next date.

Thats cool. Its funny what length some of those birds go through just to get a mate. But it must have been a site to see their nests.

 :p I dont want to date any more animals, between Rachel and Buzzy, I think Ive been traumitized. :D But Im glad to see your SORT OF on my side :D

When you think about it, human males usually go through far more just to get a mate... ;) :D

What about our nymphlike nematode, CE? Surely you wouldn't turn down a date with her? :D
