Yes, there are a lot of small caves, and a lot of small forts, as well. But still a decent number of moderate and large ones. Some Ayleid are small, too; but again, a decent number of big ones. The big ones of all of 'em are mainly quest-related, but not all.

Heh! Ok - my grandsons have Oblivion on the PS, and it totally crashed and had to be repaired and they lost all their characters. One had a level 33 char, and the other one had a lvl 25 and a lvl 8. Getting the repair wiped all their characters and they have to start over again. The eldest likes to play chars with fight and magic skills and is currently wondering what race and birth sign would be best. I have made suggestions, but it would be interesting to know what other people would suggest.... :)

Oh - and no need to say sorry for expressing an opinion! :D

I don't have Oblivion installed at the moment, nor will I in the near future, but I've been meaning to play an Illusionist. I made one in Morrowind, but then I realized the spells I needed weren't the same. You can't make a group of people turn on each other the way you can in Oblivion.

So the next time I'll make a character for Oblivion it will be a manipulative /unpleasant person/. Whoever is left after the turmoil will receive a paralyzation spell followed by a few slashes of a poisonous dagger. :mischief:

Without mods that alter Oblivion's magic system, you can't really do it too effectively in Oblivion either. The creatures will quickly out level the spell power. Unless you power level your illusion skill to 100, at which point regardless of the creature's level your Illusion spells will effect him even if the magnitute is lower then the creature's level..

Not completely accurate, you can create a max effect frenzy spell at novice level, it doesn't have to last long because you can repeat the casting if necessary. Frenzy with a strength of 25 for ten seconds causes the guards to attack, the vic hits back and draws a bounty; rinse and repeat on another vic, mayhem ensues. All a bit pointless of course, but I used to enjoy setting the watchmen and extremely annoying mages in the Arcane Uni at each others throats.
