Oh, only 3 more posts to 8K! :D Looking at the starts from where you live must be great on a clear night :) Here, you mostly see the city lights (I live in the inner city). Actually, the streetlights in the whole city were changed recently and the new lamps are constructed to allow people to see the stars as well as being more energy efficient.

I love to watch the stars from the sea, sailing at night, or from high altitude :)

Yep indeedy :o We have a hill above my house (I live in a valley 1000 feet from sea level) it is sort of shaped like a volcano, if you walk right to the top of it you can see for miles in every direction, we also have a trig point about half a miles walk away, when the wind is really blowing up there you can lean back on it and it keeps you upright :) So yes it can be lovely up here sometimes :)
