There must be an option so he can stay neutral if that's how he starts out.

But what does his neutrality mean at the end of the whole sage ? - I thing that both PC and Sarevok will have only to choice between good and evil.
Even there could be several bad and happy endings but neutral one doesn't fit for such the story when we are talking about the moment when everything is permanently explained.

Can someone explain to me whySarevok wouldnt be evil? Both in Bg1 and 2 his behaviour was that of a chaotic evil, why would he have changed? Nothing at all tells me he should

Evil Sarevok is simply boring
- I killed him so many times...only to ressurect him to join to the party evil old enemy that may betray my protagonist in any time ? It doesn't make any sense.
PC is the Child of Bhaal not an idiot.
I agree that Sarevok could be evil but what the hell he could offer protagonist for ressurection ?

He surely have a number of special abilities, probably is the strongest fighter in the game, he IS a child of Bhaal anyway. He seems like a cool character as well, cant think of anyone i would rather have join me than my "brother"
Much cooler than that witch Imoen...

Yes I agree that he is

(

voice ). He is more interesting by Imoen (Btw I always kicked her from my party in BG1) but I'm thinking about the point of view of possible protagonist (that is not as stupid as Minsc).
Sarevok possibly is awesome fighter that propably could kill Keldorn with Carsomyr among few seconds, I don't argue about that.
But he could also use his abilities to eliminate PC as well (I don't know what possibly PC could think at all but I think he must be cautious person - guy with more than 2000000 xp really should know how to avoid or eliminate problems and propably he is not interested in cool things - the story must be logical.
And at last, Sarevok's neutral alignment doesn't mean that he couldn't be cool in the same time.

I can't believe you guys are afraid that Sarevok will betray you!
For one thing, that would make some cool plot.
For another thing, that would make some cool fight.
For yet another thing, you're a Child of Bhaal yourself for crying out loud! Don't you think you'll be able to handle him? I'll be more than glad to kick his @$$ once more. MOOHAHAHAAA!!...

I've nothing against kicking Sarevok's ass many times

(aahh.. I remember the first time in BG1 in undrground city - this excitement before the battle....)
I've nothing against betraing PC by Sarevok - But it should have any sense.
