I think it's great. It would better have been Kivan, but it's great nonetheless.
Now that's an original NPC.
By the way, he won't look like the Sarevok from BG1. That flashy armor will be gone, which is a good thing.

What's so good with Sarevok as NPC? Originality? Hardly if you ask me.

That seems to point up a significant difference between Europeans and Americans. A European says: "I can't understand this, what's wrong with me?" An American says: "I can't understand this, what's wrong with him?"

I reckon that Stonehege was build by the contemporary equivalent of Microsoft, whereas Avebury was definitely an Apple circle.

I don't think it is so bad. I mean you don't find too many high level characters. I suppose that if you play good you could have had an option to bring along drizzt. That would have been cool. What is gonna happen with drizzt in the expansion? I mean if you face him and he is level 16 he will be weak compared to your pc's.

Just imagine the NPC interaction...

Minsc: "Hmm... Didn't we kill you some time ago?"
Sarevok: "Yes... And now I'll be the one to kill you! MOOHAHAHAHA!"
Imoen: "Oh shut up! You promised to help us."
Sarevok: "I lied."
Edwin: "We'll get along fine, the two of us."
Sarevok: "Quiet wizard, you were with them when they killed me!"
Edwin: "They made me do it!"

Sweeeeeeeet.

Well, aside from the interactions then?

Remember how tough Sarevok was?
He'll most probably talk to you. You might be able to learn a lot from him, i.e. new powers, details of your past etc...

By the way, he could use a personality change. He sounded like such a wuss in BG1.

No. Since I'ven't played BG1, it's quite difficult to do so. Image

Well okay, he might be pretty cool.

I'm still waiting for the cherished--

"Hey, didn't we kill you?"

"I got better."
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

Aerie:"Oh, my wings!"
Sarevok:"Shut up, shut up, SHUT UP!"

Or Jan and Sarevok.

Jan: "You remind me of my great grandfather Louie."
Sarevok: "And you remind me of that pesky mentor Winski Perorate I killed about a year ago."
Jan: "HELP!"

once again.. Too many fighters?
Sarevok will be evil of course, and there is but one evil character except him. Good groups has plenty, while evil must go for 1.

Dont know why, but feels like he might be magic slayer, only class i can think of to make him original, korgan is berzerker, and kensais cant use armour, which Sarevok surely do

What about anti-paladin? They said it would be a cool NPC. Just naming him Sarevok won't do it.

No no, you got it all wrong...
Fallen paladin = paladin that get beneath rep 6
Antipaladin = way cooler, with all kinds of special evil abilities etc.

And if it's supposed to be a cool NPC, they just might make the class for him. They made a new race for Haer'Dalis, why wouldn't they do the same thing, but for classes with Sarevok?

Personally I thought the idea of Sarevok was rather nifty. Fighter? Who cares! There should be a lot of fighters, it's one of the biggest roles in the game. Plus by that point you need some pretty good reason to swap out one party member for another. For evil players to finally get their hands on someone truly evil.......

Plus, his history is already in place, so much to build on, so many possible cool dialogues...... Image

So many people seem to want a thief. I have no idea why, I couldn't imagine anything more boring and pointless. What possible use could you have for one? You'd either have a situation where all the traps were too wimpy, so why recruit them, or just right, so you'd have no choice BUT to recruit them, which would be stupid.
