Yes, Joaquin Phoenix as Anomen, they look very same, and even got the same appearance generally. You know who would be great Cernd? Christopher Lambert. He would be the perfect Cernd. Just check out Mortal Kombat 1 :D
Centuries ago in England........It was an era of chivalry and magic. The evil Prince John unleashed an iron fist of tyranny upon the people. They called out for a champion.........one man answered that call. His name, was Robin Hood. Fearless in his quest for justice Robin Hood challenged the power of the high warlords. While protecting the helpless and the poor. Willing to face death for what he believed, along with the beautiful, lady warrior, Jaheira, the mighty Minsc, and the wise Keldorn. Robin Hood forged a legend that lives on today in............

David Warner would probably be a bit too old to play Irenicus. Maybe Jeremy Irons could play him. His voice is very similar.

Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa could play Yoshimo! He looks just like him (only without the beard) and he has the same voice. He has stared in Rising Sun with Sean Connery, Mortal Kombat as Shang Tsung and countless of other Hollywood movies featuring the Japanese.

pheonix as anomen...i can definitly see it.

i hope BG never becomes a movie too, it would scar me for life if they did it wrong... i was scarred by 'crow 2' :( :(

but no name actors should get the parts... they have less baggage.

jeremey irons voice is very different from david warner

NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NOOOOOOO!!! Keep that freak away from anything remotely resembling a BG movie! His fifteen minutes of fame are up and I don’t want him taking BG down with him when he crashes and burns!

(Though seeing him get pelted with rocks would be appealing...)

Nature’s first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf’s a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.

I was going to say - David Warner was in Wing Commander - a good opportunity to see him on celluloid. But then I thought about what a bad movie it was... and its origins as a PC game...

Oh well.

Oh dear. I showed the DnD movie (at our student cinema) this evening. Justin Whalin's attempts to act received much laughter, and even applause in a couple of scenes ;)

But, I've found him! Playing Damodar (Jeremy Irons' right-hand man), some guy called Bruce Payne... And he *IS* Jon Irenicus!! He has the look, he has the voice...
Who, me?!?

....15 more NPCs, 25 more developers, and 132 more aging, Hollywood producers who have nothing better to do than try to get a piece of the pie. YOU DO THE MATH!!!
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

a series would be better, not a movie as it would have to be a very long one with lots of changes in it, missing important details...
