It's good to hear you'll be able to keep up with this.

I'll post my question here, so I won't forget this time

.
Is there going to be a map, or are we supposed to choose one of the doors at random?
I'm guessing it's probably the latter, so in that case, how do we say which door we are going through?

There will be a map, I'll hopefully sort one out today, so I suppose that will be done by the time you need it.
If not, just say the direction you want to in by the points of a compass - e.g. North, Northeast, Southeast etc etc.

I'll probably wait for the map, but if DJ wants to post ahead with any directions it's fine by me

Oh, no problem. I'm glad you're still interested and want to be involved.
A little while back, I think it was just after you got that job, I suggested that there would be a split, with half of the people exploring the cave system and the other half finding out more about happened to Sterwick.
DJV and darkwolf are exploring the caves (and have made some progress with that), I put your character with mine, Yepi's and Sterwick.
We haven't done anything yet though (mainly because Yepi hasn't posted too much on this campaign lately and I didn't want to continue the story single-handedly), so if you look back a little way into the game thread you'll find what I said about that, but you should be able to get into it, basically it's deciding what you want to do next to help Sterwick find out what happened to cause him to lose his memory. I think I suggested visitng the clerics who found him initially.
@Darkwolf, I forgot to sort out the map earlier and I'm considering not doing one at all to provide an extra challenge for you both...

Hi slade,
Good to hear from you again. Sometimes we have this thing called "real-life" pressing in, so it's understandable
...now if only Yepi too would show up! Miss our crazy dwarf

Ha. I thought it was a pact with spam...
Anyway, you should probably post on the campaign thread rather than waiting for me to sort out a map. I'll try not to make the directions to complicated in the meantime.

Just a question:
Kron, being the impatient reckless guy he is, doesn't like sitting around.
What are my options on doing something? I'm not talking about a wolf stumbling across me while waiting outside the town, no, I'm talking about me entering the town.
Is there anything I should follow, to properly sneak into the town? I just want to make sure I don't end up doing something stupid and stuffing it up.

Hmm, well, I think it's about time you both were up to Level 3 (you have been adventuring for long enough after all), that'll give you access to the Invisibility spell if you want to take it. Don't feel forced to do so though as there is still the option to sneak into the town using Hide and Walk Silently rolls AND you don't know what the reaction of the townsfolk will be anyway. You're in a completyely new location, one that might not be hostile to drow...as long as you don't appear to have something to hide of course...
So, you're now both at 3,000XP and should check the class sheets to see what things you need to update (Attack bonuses, saving throws, new spells). Just ask if you need any help.

Hey, sorry for the intrusion, but is this game still going and might you be willing to accept another player if it is?

Yep, it's still going, just a little slowly sometimes (mostly my own fault on that...I suppose I could be a faster DM

).
There may be a place, yeah, I was thinking there might be such an opportunity....how much have you read back into this?
If I was to include you, it would probably be around darkwolf's character location.
So, you can get started with a character, if you need any help, feel free to ask, but look back on this thread too, as there are lots of tips on it.

okay, thanks... so far I've read through a little bit, I'll read the lot as soon as I can
TBH, though, the only DnD experience I have is really from the Baldur's Gate, Neverwinter Nights and Icewind Dale games... I know the rules of 3.5 though, so I juess it shouldn't be a problem... just thought I'd tell ya

Well, from the point I was thinking of putting your character into the story, it probably wouldn't matter how much of the backstory you know...
That's fine...this is a kind of campaign for D&D newbies run by a DM newbie anyway.
I don't mind helping you out and I expect the others will be fine with it too....

Sounds great

Just read through everything, and I'm guessing you'll put me in somewhere at the Theo-something city?
I'll probably play a human monk by the name of Lucifer (based on a character I've invented quite a while back

) looking like the pony-tailed person
in this picture I'll make the character sheet tomorrow... a bit late here, now
Probably should mention, too, that I'm at GMT +2

Yep, Thorpedene.
Okay, timezone shouldn't matter with the way we're doing this. It's more of a case of you post something, I respon later on. then you respond to that etc.
So, it'll be slower paced han your standard D& campaign and probably more story-based than D&D mechanics.
Create a Level 3 character if you can and there should be a character thread somewhere around too.
My latest set of obligations include 4 exams over the next 2 weeks, but that shouldn't cause too big a delay on my part hopefully.
