Aah, my football discussing colleague ;)

Well that depends on who can come to fill the roles when the veterans leave. Ronaldinho has already proved himself, but I still remain a stubborn French supporter and believe that in the future the world will come to fear the French team once again ;)

My picks would be Spain to win it next, the golden boys should bring home the statue sometime soon.

Farewell Brink ;)

EDIT- If you were talking about them winning, well they deserved it, they were a great team to watch.

Ciao Brink. Don't be a stranger.

Things are pretty good @Astafas. I'm applying for University entrance soon, and meeting Georgi and Tamerlane has proven to be an interesting experience.
I've also recently bought a Super Nintendo, and am having great fun reliving some classic childhood moments. :D About the only downside is that there have been some family troubles of late, but they seem to be not getting any worse, if not actually getting better.

Seeya Tam.

Good on you, Kam. What course are you going to do?

BTW, if drinking doesn't seem like enough celebration for you ;) , try my favourite type of mind-altering substances and listen to some Radiohead.
One of the best types of celebration around.

Nice to hear you're OK. Hope your family problems get solved soon.

Are you, Georgie and Tammy all staying in the same city?

Never had a SNES myself. In fact, there was a huge gap between the NES/C64 and my first PC...

So, you know what you will study yet? Hard to get in?

I doubt they will, but thanks anyway. :)
Yep, Georgi's up north at the moment, but when she gets back we're all in the same city. We met up last weekend, actually.

The SNES's, as Aegis said, were classic. I'm very glad to have got one again.

I qualified last year, but didn't apply until I knew what I wanted to do, ie. this year. I'm going to apply for Philosophy and Ethics (a so-called (Hippy-degree  ), not much use in getting a job but I want to learn it.

You should form a GameBanshee division like the one we have in Stockholm (actually, there is nothing more to it than meeting once a month or so to eat, drink and talk). So far it's CE, Dottie, me and Mystery Man (ask CE).

It can never be bad to be an ethical philosopher when applying for a job...

Mystery Man being Silur, who I suspect is CEs hubby. It's all a process of logic in figuring it out. If you're really interested I'll go through the Sherlock Holmes routine ;) .
We thought about making a Perth division, and probably will while she's here. Pity Vehemence isn't around much anymore, he was from Perth too. :(

But as a qualification it's only good for getting you a job as a lecturer in Philosophy and Ethics... :o :D

As for Mystery Man being Silur who then may be CE's husband  , I can neither confirm or deny... But keep on guessing, it'll be fun! :p :D

Regarding the profession, isn't it nice to already know what you gonna be? :D

I don't need to keep guessing, I've had it confirmed. ;) I was reasonably proud of having got it right though. :D

I guess so, but it doesn't exactly leave me lots of options. :( Whilst I'd enjoy being a lecturer, I'm not sure what would happen if I got bored or wnated a change or something.

Fear not, there are often several paths to a profession, some obvious but other less so. It's never to late to change your career, should you not be satisfied with it.
