I assume he actually draws and doesn't use sprites, like your's truely. Image I have the utmost respect for those people who draw their comics. It takes a lot of hard work to get a good looking comic out.

Well I consider 50 just another comic. Issue 100 on the other hand... That'll be worthy of a celebration. Image
No problem mate. You supply the laughs, and recognition is what you deserve.

Yeah. He uses the old pencil. :D But he said, "Who cares if he uses sprites? .... What matters is that it can make you laugh". But I have respect for those who can make good jokes. Ive taken a cartooning class, and I can draw, but I lack the ability to make a concrete comic with good jokes.

Heh. Cant wait. :D

I can draw halfway decently (of course you don't need to be a great artist to draw a comic) Image but it's so much easier to just slap some sprites down. Who knows, maybe one day I'll do a one time "what if Dungeon Crawl Inc. was a hand-drawn comic" issue for the hell of it. Image

Of course the hardest part is indeed coming up with something funny on a regular basis. Many times I don't even know what the day's gag will be until I'm actually working on each frame of the issue (I know many comic authors plan theirs out in advance). So far my style of no-style seems to be working though.

It’ll take a while, but we’ll get there eventually. Image

Hmmm.....this thread seems to be "crowded" with the same 4-5 people as usual... :)

Don´t wanna imagine WTH you could do with that comic as a nr.100, though. :D
Is there any chance you could include atomic kitten?:-D
BTW, Kay, thanks for showing me that pagebuilder thing, it´s pretty dang easy once you get the feel, and pretty cool too. :)

So, you going to start your own comic using pagebuilder, Jae? :D

So is any one else seriously considering making their own comic? I’d be happy to put a banner for it on DCI’s main page. It’d be cool to do crossover episodes too (even if it's something as simple as the characters passing by each other in a dungeon or forest). Image

tempting, although i really need some sprite thingies to make it with...

actually i could make an anime RPG style comic thing with the tilesets from RPG maker...

and i need to make a website for my web management course...

i might get back to you on that... *strokes chin thoughtfully*

Excellent. Image *Imagines the potential if everyone gets involved* This could be the start of something big (or not, but still...). Image

I'm busy enough as it is, so no comic making for me. (lack of talent is also a factor :D )
But I'll read anything if it's good, so if anyone makes one just give a link. :)

Well shoot. Image But who knows, maybe after a little while you’ll be less busy and more talented. Image

I offered to draw Thug's prospective comic for him before...can't remember what happened to it...comedy illustrations may not be my style however...

Well I'm always willing to lend a helping hand (though once you get in the swing of things it isn't too hard). ;)

@frogus: Mr Knightley with an insanely big glowing sword and painfully spikey hair? i like this already...

literary spoofery in the style of chrono trigger? it just might work...
:)
