Oh, I didn't know that. I'll have to look for that next time. Is there some point in the game where Mercurio has the armor?Perhaps the newest patch changes this as the heavy armor that she is supposed to gift you with can now be bought from Mercurio?

Well, originally, Heather is supposed to give it to you after the Society For the Preservation of Professors quest and before the Hell at Hotel Hallowbrook quest.
This change is most likely the doing of the plus patch, so if you're running the normal one, it's probably where it was.
I am not sure, but I have to assume that Mercurio gets that armor after the same quest, though he actually holds on to it until the end of the game.

“The world breaks every one and afterward many are strong at the broken places. But those that will not break it kills. It kills the very good and the very gentle and the very brave impartially.”
I'm running the plus patch as I always have. I always want to take advantage of the changes.
I would rather Mercurio had it after doing the quest for him. Then one could benefit from the armor through the rest of the game instead of having to wait until almost the end of the game to get it. Maybe Wesp will clarify when it's available.

Well, either way, that armor doesn't make THAT much of a difference. Depending on your clan and skill set up, you could finish the game in your starting clothes.
EDIT: I asked you before about the Potence and Auspex disciplines and noticed that if you invoke Potence at full melee strength (melee 10, strength 10), you gain no bonus. However, if you do the same for maximum ranged skill (firearms 10, perception 10) you can go to ranged skill 13. Is there any benefit to having it at 13 rather than 10? Does the effect gained from a skill cap out at ten?
If there is a real benefit, shouldn't it be changed to either be set to ten (to match Potence) or to have Potence be able to go all the way?
Also, I seem to get lag every time I disciplines that leave a "halo" around my character. For example, when I use Presence in third person mode, everything is fine, but when I go into first person mode, I start to experience lag. Do you have any advice on dealing with this issue?

Map graphic issues
I'm not sure if this is a patch issue or not. However, since I didn't have it before I added the unofficial patches, I'm guessing so. All of my map graphics (bus stops and sewers) are showing as pink and white checkerboards. Same problem with the Blood Buff graphic.
I'm running it on a Vista (barf) machine, but I don't have any graphic problems other than these.

We can't edit the AI at all.Crenshinibon wrote: Perhaps a small adjustment to his AI that makes him target the more dangerous of the two characters based on damage output over a certain period of time?
No, I didn't change anything there. Probably this is connected and you got her stuck in an animation like doing the flames and thus made her invincible. My character frenzied and attacked Pisha, who with the last patch only fought, without summoning flames or any zombies. Is it intentional that she is now considered a boss and is unkillable?
Your dialogue choices are often dependent on your humanity so behaving like a dick usually gives lesser but meaner choices.Crenshinibon wrote:Well, I know that Heather is supposed to have more dialog than that, as she did during my first playthrough as a Nosferatu.
No, Mike is right. I added an option to keep her indoors to not have her killed. Of course she won't give you the armor then and Mercurio will only sell it during the endgame because of balancy issues.Perhaps the newest patch changes this as the heavy armor that she is supposed to gift you with can now be bought from Mercurio?
I'll check this out. Also, if you enter Ming Xiao's temple from the main door, and try to exit it through the side ones, you are asked to lockpick, which actually forces you OUTSIDE the temple, on the other side of the door.
Not on my part. Should I correct this if I can find it or should the clone be more sensitive to Disciplines?EDIT: Is it intentional that Ming Xiao's clone is affected my Mass Suicide?
The limits are hardcoded, but with Potence you still got automatic Strength success on top, whatever that exaclty is in the game context .Crenshinibon wrote: If there is a real benefit, shouldn't it be changed to either be set to ten (to match Potence) or to have Potence be able to go all the way?
No idea, sorry. Also, I seem to get lag every time I disciplines that leave a "halo" around my character. For example, when I use Presence in third person mode, everything is fine, but when I go into first person mode, I start to experience lag. Do you have any advice on dealing with this issue?
That's probably caused by Vista in connection with more than 4 GB of RAM. Check the patch readme for solutions using the included tools.thecoddess wrote:I'm not sure if this is a patch issue or not. I just found a bug within the game:
At the character sheet screen, you can allocate all of your points, then switch back to the one where you pick your clan, gender as well as history, and by changing the latter, you are granted even more points to distribute. This can be repeated until all of your skills are maxed out, though by using this it's also possible to get stuck at that screen as you cannot proceed without using up the "skills" granted.
EDIT: Thanks for your replies.
Is Asupex of 13 (rather anything above ten) of any benefit? Within the game, does it improve damage, backlash and accuracy or is it just for looks? Is it possible to see what it does in the game context?
I have mixed feelings on the Ming Xiao issue as during my last playthrough, as a Ventrue, I noticed that most of my Domination disciplines (which are supposed to be the Ventrue's focus) are useless against most boss fights and a good amount of supernatural creatures, especially Headhunters. I guess it would be a good idea to get rid of the vulnerability to Mass Suicide, though it hardly matters as the clone spawns when Ming Xiao is almost dead.

This is a known exploit impossible to fix, but I added a cheat detection to your first dialogue with Jack in which he will refer to this if you used it !Crenshinibon wrote: At the character sheet screen, you can allocate all of your points, then switch back to the one where you pick your clan, gender as well as history, and by changing the latter, you are granted even more points to distribute.

I will see if this can be easily done...I guess it would be a good idea to get rid of the vulnerability to Mass Suicide, though it hardly matters as the clone spawns when Ming Xiao is almost dead.
This is what happens if your humanity is too low - your character becomes a dickMike89 wrote:This time I also had some harsh dialog with the girl in the Skyline apartments (the one who was sick and died). Used to be there was options to be either compassionate or crude. This time it was only crude options. I felt kind of like a dick afterwards, heh heh. Same thing will Bill in the alley.

Like he said, your humanity is low. Make sure you're all full lest you frenzy and go on a non-too-healthy eating spree.
Wesp: Just out of curiosity, I tried to do that bug, to see this bit you talked about and it really made me laugh. xD
Though, I tried it on Gangrel and when I used Protean 5 (also having brawl 5 and strength 5, for a grand total of unarmed 10), I almost chocked on whatever I was drinking at the moment. The discipline increased my defense by one and the unarmed skill by ten! The character had twenty in unarmed! Twenty!
Upon trying out my damage, the floating text read fifty two, which I believe is normal damage for the claws. Once again, the twenty unarmed skill, does it do anything or is it best to save your experience and raise something aside from strength and brawl?
Also, the character was made with a Chupacabra history and had no Fortitude discipline, rather, it appeared in the game screen (where you can choose to use it) but it was not shown on the character sheet.
Just throwing something as I'm not sure if it was like this because of the bug exploitation or if it's a real issue.

It seems this is connected to NVIDIA cards. Somehow when you have more than 2 GB RAM the game thinks you have only very little memory and reduces the texture quality which results in blurry graphics.Mike89 wrote:What is this over 2 gb ram bug? What problems does having over 2 gb of ram cause in this game? I ask because I have over 2 gb.
No idea, I played a ranged Toreador character who was also good at talking.Crenshinibon wrote:Once again, the twenty unarmed skill, does it do anything or is it best to save your experience and raise something aside from strength and brawl?
I hope this was a glitch because I can't find a problem in the files. The same must be valid to the Ming temple lockpicking issue because this didn't happen when I tested it. You were talking about the first map entrance door? Also, the character was made with a Chupacabra history and had no Fortitude discipline, rather, it appeared in the game screen (where you can choose to use it) but it was not shown on the character sheet.
