I just went and played a bit with 4.7 (I hadn't played since 4.4) and I see that Fat Larry is on the same side of town, just a bit further down the road in the alley way. Kind of cool actually.
You know what would be good? I don't know if you can do this but a lot of area in Vampire has nothing. Like in Gimble's shop for example. Many rooms but nothing to get in any of them. Or in that little arcade where the hung dude is. Nothing there. A lot of the game is like that, to me more evidence of a game not finished. Would be cool if you could put things in places like that. Would make browsing around a bit more interesting.

I've noticed a couple of glitches so far.
At the beginning when going through the parts with Jack. When you are doing some of the things in the tutorial, going through the second door, Jack is not in front of you anymore. He is standing behind some pipes during the dialog. During that dialog, you can't even see him cause the scene is locked during the dialog. After the dialog was over, then you can see him behind the pipes.
In Santa Monica. When I had to go to the Diner to talk to Therese on the phone. During the fight with the dudes in there, the cops were called. So when I went back outside, I had to hide from the cops. No issue there. But, after completing Santa Monica, I had to go back there from Downtown to get to the boat. As I was walking down the street towards the parking lot, the cops and cop cars were still there at the Art Gallery and there is Chunk standing beside the Art Gallery. Kinda of weird because I had just talked to him inside Lacroix's building downtown. So it seems after the cops were called, they never disappear afterwards.

Just curious, are the save times supposed to be long?
I'm finding that they take longer than in the usual game.
EDIT: When talking to Mitnink, the screen occasionally keeps going diagonally down, to the right, then back to the center. Same bit with Imalia, except when talking to her, I experience long pauses where she doesn't say anything, however, they always start with a bit of dialog which seems to be completed.
When you have Obfuscate on, and you finally find the killer in the junkyard, you approach him and he runs towards you, but no dialog appears and the game is stuck that way until you reload.

If you used the light fix various light qualities will be saved correctly that were lost before. But I never noticed that the saving takes longer.Crenshinibon wrote:Just curious, are the save times supposed to be long?
I just tested those two and they are fine on my system. Must be random glitches.EDIT: When talking to Mitnick, the screen occasionally keeps going diagonally down, to the right, then back to the center. Fixed, also a similar issue I remembered at the fishmarket. Any other situations were this could pose a problem? When you have Obfuscate on, and you finally find the killer in the junkyard, you approach him and he runs towards you, but no dialog appears and the game is stuck that way until you reload.
The lifts in Bloodlines were always buggy and I can't do anything about them.alleykatt wrote: downtown haven.. cant properly select the lift buttons usually it allway seems to point to "5" and i'd have to move away from the lift before it changes.
Did you update an earlier saved game or switched from basic to plus patch?and i got bertrim's? email for the CD/Disk mission, i got the CD from Nosey's lair.. but when i go see him, he doesnt give me the mission :/

Yes, that issue was at the fish market as well, though there I was actually able to move towards Zygaena, while invisible, and manually talk to him.
Also, in that fight, more often than not, I noticed that he just follows me around, which theoretically makes it possible for you to simply run around while Yukie pummels the Hengeyokai with crossbow bolts. Is that fine?
I'm still on my first playthrough of the game, so if I encounter anything, I'll be sure to tell you.

That seems to be a random glitch or can you reproduce it?Mike89 wrote: At the beginning when going through the parts with Jack. Ah, I triggered removing them one story state to late, fixed! As I was walking down the street towards the parking lot, the cops and cop cars were still there at the Art Gallery and there is Chunk standing beside the Art Gallery. Why not? But it would take ages for Yukie to take him down with the crossbow.Crenshinibon wrote: Also, in that fight, more often than not, I noticed that he just follows me around, which theoretically makes it possible for you to simply run around while Yukie pummels the Hengeyokai with crossbow bolts. I found another glitch. Bear with me as I try to explain this as I didn't write the dialogs down. When talking to Mitnik. There is a point where you and him are talking about how he was watching you, about Gary, etc. Around this time there was always a dialog trigger to get into the subject of what Mitnik is doing to get to what you can do for him. I didn't see this trigger. There are actually two lines that say the same thing, something like, OK I'll see you later or something like that. When clicking one of those, he replies like you asked him a different question and then the dialogs open up to the quests. Seems like a wrong line got inserted in this area.
This is caused by jack running in to the room to talk to you while you are behind the pipes, and he initiates conversation through the pipes. When you kill that third sabbat (first one after the stealth-kill) stay behind the pipes and it will probably happen to you too.Wesp5 wrote:That seems to be a random glitch or can you reproduce it?

On my character, when wearing any armor that detracts from the dexterity score, I am able to "remove" those points and gain experience back.

1st basic then added the plus extras, then started a new game w/gangrel and nosferatu as these were the only two i havnt done the game with yet.. weirdly enough the lifts worked fine with nosey, but you know the letter boxes in downtown sky haven? they change to little whiskey bottles lol, but when i came back later it was normalWesp5 wrote:The lifts in Bloodlines were always buggy and I can't do anything about them.

I've had that problem with the lifts since before I even patched the game, but it's only ever lasted a second or two.
Recently, towards the end of the game the Skyline apartments have tended to go to the dogs. I can't remember which patch this happened with (5.4 at least) but things would just be out of position, and objects that don't even belong there would be imposed over others, or just in random places. A later patch seemed to fix that, but instead the computer became unusable, which meant I couldn't check my email to do Gary's poster quests and check on how that game of chess is going. I think this may have been covered earlier in another thread, but I'm not sure I remember right. Sometimes I get confused.

You can't spell success without whatever the hell my name is!
That is a famous random bug that was in the game long before the patching started. Usually the apartment gets filled with weird stuff and the computer stops working. Reloading normally restores it though.Minalkali wrote: I can't remember which patch this happened with (5.4 at least) but things would just be out of position, and objects that don't even belong there would be imposed over others, or just in random places.
The correct one to keep her alive is the one about staying indoors. Or do you think someone like Heather can defend herself with a gun against several Sabbath vampires ?Mike89 wrote:Is the saving Heather line of something like staying indoors still there?
