Hello Dark Master and comrades, I'm here to enlist!
I noticed that no NPC's are currently open for written dialogue. When will a new list of NPC's be released?
Also, could anyone e-mail me examples of how the dialogue should be written (in terms of lay-out, dialogue trees ect)

I'm up for doing Navam Veran (I think that's how it's spelled) the silt strider guy in Ald'ruhn - he appears in my first Morrowind fanfic, so I have a soft spot for him!

I'll mark him down as yours once I publish the list of outdoor Ald-Ruhn NPCs.

Bevadar Bels, male guard in Venim Manor
Nidryne Redas, female guard in Venim Manor (I'll take this one, have an idea for a little story cooked up)
Veresa Salvanni - female commoner in Venim Manor, feel free to change her profession to something more interesting, maybe the cleaner of the manor or something.
Vendrela Aravel - female commoner in Venim Manor, as before, feel free to give her a more interesting profession
Tereri Irethi - female guard in Venim Manor
Novor Gorvas - male guard in Venim Manor.
That should be enough in Ald-Ruhn for now. I've included the template that we need for Venim Manor below.

I'll take Tereri Irethi as practice. I'll start tomorrow.

I'll happily do:
Bevadar Bels
Veresa Salvanni
Vendrela Arave
I have some ideas bubbling away, although I'll be without an internet connection for a few days. If it's okay I'll try to get the .doc files to you by thursday evening, circumstances permitting ^_^

I already did Novor Gorvas. I'll send you the result immediatly and wait for your response before I start with Tereri Irethi. I want to know if I didn't do it the wrong way.

Check your PM box, but essentially I said that he was good, although I want to vary the hostility of the NPCs, so next time if you're NPC is more friendly, that would be a good balance.

DM, just in case you come here first instead of going to your PMs, where did you want the finished NPC textfile sent?

I'm also wondering about this

.
And DarkMaster - Don't worry, I won't make every NPC a mean hostile bastage

. Next one will probably be alot nicer

Just a suggestion, to accept or discard as you wish (this is for all mod writers):
One idea the old Might and Magic team enthusiastically voiced while working on their sixth release, years ago, was the ability for rumours to increase in reliability as you approached the scene of activity, and decrease as you moved away. So if you're planning to do NPCs in three cities that (for example) lie in a straight line from the west coast, you could place a rumour in the westermost city that's very accurate. The next one some ways to the east would be exaggerated in some feature(s), perhaps subtly. The city far to the east would have a strongly exaggerated rumour, but not to the point of utter nonsense unless the speaker was unusually foolish or gullible.
This might also help to correct the player's tendency to believe everything they read in the rumours category.
