DM, I'm going to shoot for Alds Boro, Salen Ravel, Daras Aryon and Navam Veran. Would add more, but at the moment I'm under severe deadline, so those will have to do--for now. I'll let you know what I can take on in another week or so. :)
So really I guess all that’s left is first come first served on the remaining NPCs, if you reply here, I can work out an arrangement for you to get the dialogue to me, and I’ll put it in game via the construction set. An outline of things from the last thread follows:

• If your chosen NPC belongs to a faction, such as the Imperial Cult, there may be additional topics to write dialogue for.
• I can put in multiple choice dialogue, so feel free to create branching trees if you want. Just say what the players responses are, and how the NPC reacts to each of them.
• If you want your NPC to end the conversation at any time, I can do that. Just specify.
• You can include multiple responses based on reputation, point in the main quest, clothing, the players level, how skilled they are at any of the skills.
• Specifically for Fable really, not in this town, but in future ones I will be able to have the action of buying from one NPC offend another to the point at which they like you less/and or refuse you services. If you want a specific dialogue topic to trigger this, I can do that this time. Be sure to write a journal entry for this though, as it’s the only way I can do it. Just something like “I spoke to NPC X about Topic Y. NPC Z will not be pleased.”
• Adding new topics is very cool, speaking to some of the NPC’s in Khuul will teach you a little Morrowind history, you can learn about the War on Vvardenfell, and how it differs from the War on Morrowind.
• Little ‘in-jokes’ are cool. Blake and I have one that you can access by speaking to Miron in his shack in Khuul and asking him about ‘Dumner’. Anybody who supported the recent conflict in Iraq would be advised to not read it.

I'm back!!! Hey, you guys are just getting started now on Maar gan? Shoot, and I thought I had to back down on this town. Anyway, I'll take back the ones I said I'd take before. Kind Erushara, the two zama-rasours, and Assi Serimilk. I've got a cute little plot cooked up for them already. ;)

Thats fantastic news Beornica!!! :D

I'll edit the original post and put your name next to the NPCs. Apparently the old colours are going to be returning... we can only hope.

Since this is my first try ill just take 2, when i get the hang of it if there is anythign left i might go for more. How about Miles Glorious (because that did sound pretty cool) and Mabrelle Geles? if anybody else had their eye on either of those I would be more than happy to give them up. OK well this is exciting, haha.

Just so we can all keep updated with what's going on with eachother's characters, (you know, so we can "interweave" the story lines) let me tell you what the plans are for my characters. There are two zama-Rasours, the woman is in her house, and the man is walking around in the streets. He also has a locked up house nearby. (surprising tidy and well-kept for a man on his own. There is fresh bread baking in the oven, even) So my little plot for them is that she kicked him out last year because he was so shiftless and lazy, and she couldn't abide him any more. At first he was thoroughly depressed, but then his friend Assi Serimilk told him to try and win her back. Stop being such a slob. Get a trade. So he started up his business as a baker, and he bought a house very close to hers, so she'd have to see the changes he was making. Then, DM suggested he could even work something out where the player could do a little mission and get them back together, and in the end the man is found in his old house with his wife again. They're both very indebted to you, and as a reward for being such a good friend, he gives you his house. Just make sure to watch that bread. It should be done in an hour or so.
And Kind Erushara is a poet. I'm not sure yet if he is a good one or a goof. That all depends on the plot lines I get from the other writers, so i can see if I can do the poetry about other character's stories. He's already got a work in progress about the zama-rasours. Rasours.... ours....flowers....powers....showers....

One of my NPCs is a scout. I imagine we'll do a fair few scouts, but I'd like one somewhere in each region that knows his or her particular region better than anyone, and can talk with confidence about enterances to the famous Deadric shrines in the regions, any anybody unsavoury who is in certain ruins. Before I do him, I'd like to clarify the fact that Molag Mar is the ONLY town in the Molag Amur region. I'm not missing something stupidly obvious here am I? He'll know all the regions pretty well, but the Ashlands exceptionally.

Another character is going to be a Nevarine Schollar, with different responses depending on where you are in the main quest, I've got a Seer, and the tradehouse owner who is just going to be a very friendly and likeable person, who tends to go on a bit, so you can mention that in little advice, you know 'talk to XYZ if you want a good chat, but be prepared to listen for a while, as XYZ will get carried away sometimes'

I've got a second scout, in the tradehouse, and I can't decide if they are the apprentice of the first, or maybe an assessor, or even if I should change the trade completely, anyone with any thoughts on that, I'd like to hear it.

I also took the healer, since I know she's vital to the Mages guild, and I don't want to end up destroying any quests in our mods, so I'm going to work around that. I may end up doing more characters later, we'll see.

DM

Edit/PS @Fable, I removed the question marks from your names after the PM you sent me, so you're pretty much locked in. ;)

Right, again i was wondering if you wanted me to work anything in to the NPC dialogue, and if i should go any farther with Mabrelle Geles or if thats enough topics changed, the dissaperance of the dwarves was a very anticlimactic find so right now i am bummed with the quests and have nothign to do but this MW wise. ok well i only have 2 NPCs so its that much easier to concentrate on detail for them anythign specific, so let me know what to do. oh and I think apprentice, apprentices complaining about thier masters behind thier backs always makes for interesting dialogue.

I'm still doing the 3, DM. Navam, as you pointed out, is not in the town.

I've decided that the Orcish scout isn't a scout anymore, but the sort of resident expert on the Ashland monsters, so he's sort of like a scout, but only in terms of the animals that will turn up. His friend is my other scout, and together they are like the Ashlands guides.

Your first attempt at Mabrelle was very good, and you've already spoken to me privately about Miles. If you have time when he's done and feel like taking on another character or two, that would be great!

Beornica, I've contacted somebody who should be able to do the script for us regarding your NPC story with the house etc, if he tells me it will be possible, I'll relay that to you, and you can plan out the dialogue trees you want leading to him being taken back, or not, if the player messes up. We should try to make it harder than just selecting the obvious option, so maybe on the topic of 'my husband' the player can choose:

He still loves you very deeply.
Would you ever take him back?
He seems to be doing very well for himself now...

And have branches coming off those if you like, its entirely possible for more than one route to end up at her agreeing to take him back, possibly even having to take messages between the two of them, but if the final bit of her dialogue could include her saying that you should go get him, that would be great, since the script will include the player leading him back into her house.

Hey everyone! Nice project you've got there! I'm the person who Dark Master recruited for scriptng. I will be happy to help with anything, not only the quest DM asked me to work on(the one with leading the husband to his wife).

P.S. A Simple Idea: Including an NPC that would be mentally-ill, eg talking like a child to himself\about himself in third person, etc(*: %Name is f... f... feeling... so lone... l... ly. You good.). I think that would be interesting and easy-to-make.

Don't Khajiit do that anyway? ;)

Anyway, on behalf of everybody involved in the project, I'd like to welcome you to the team and to thank you for getting involved with the nitty gritty side of it.
