ever look at the somewhat sick damage you can do w/ a good cross bow?
the giant hair (thanks ribald) has a damage bonus of 5, the bolt does 2d6 + stun (save negates) it's a celestial fury that hit's at range. 7-17 dm not too shabby since they can't hit back.

the other bolts, lighting, biting are also very good, and prob underused</STRONG>
Agree 100%! I had a party of dwarves, 4 of whom used crossbows. Many foes never reached me due to the damage the crossbow inflicts. These weapons are awesome! Keldorn with the HA and Giant Hair crossbow with the Kuo Toa bolts was just unstoppable as a lead tank.

About the crossbows... Their obvious disadvantage is their terrible rate of fire. What happens when you switch to another weapon after firing one? Could you, theoretically, switch back and forth between the Tuigan Bow and the Giant Hair and fire 4 shots every two rounds?

Amen. It's got everything you need for SoA, including that +4 bonus you need to kill KanGaxx. There just aren't that many >+3 weapons around in SoA (especially if you don't have a Paladin in your party and don't know where all that Crom Faeyr stuff is hidden).

Haer'Dalis' low dexterity blade. Why? It's the only weapon in the game that can kill Arkanis gath and other game Immortals.

Since he usually attacks your main character, make sure that person has alot of healing potions and have your other characters cast healing spells on your main dude. this usually frees up HarryDalis, allowing him to hit AG until his his dex is zero and he falls down flat. No XP though :(
