Good, because you have just been made Governor of sym land.

All pardons must go though you.

So I have to consider my own case, and issue a pardon if I think I'm worth it? Hm.
Tough call.
What sort of options are open to me, DP?

You have to govern from the prison. You get a cell like Minerva's. You get better food, Doc. might treat you better. No torture, unless you want it.

@DP: How long do I have to be here? The cell is fantastic, but I prefer being outside...

Oh, a sort of Uber-Trustee. In that case, since I know torture would provide a release from a sense of guilt, I shall refuse torture to myself, and gloat over my subtle punishment. I'll gladly accept the better food. Can I have a radio?
Craig will be forced to make license plates unless he constructs two written sentences in flawless English. I suspect the proceeds from the plates will keep us in ready cash for years.

You can go any time you want.
@Fable, No radio. Top of line audio system.

Thanks, DP. I'll come back when I need a quiet room to sleep, then.

Top of the line audio? Thanks. Time to get out all those Balinese gamelan CDs and pipe 'em into the other inmates' cells at 5 AM.

All these Nietzsche quotes have reminded me of another one I heard once...
Graffiti:
"GOD IS DEAD ~Nietzsche"
[Different writing:]
"NIETZSCHE IS DEAD ~God"

Oooh, I could really have fun with that, fable...but I won't

@Loner72: "Oooh, I could really have fun with that, fable...but I won't."
Be my guest.

Nietzche was obviously trying to goad, and the favor deserves to be returned. Besides, I'm not his advocate.

I'll not give him the satisfaction...
Besides, the quote forum isn't the place. Perhaps I'll start a thread called "Theological Quandaries" or some such...and prepare to be flamed from here to eternity...

@Loner72: "Perhaps I'll start a thread called "Theological Quandaries" or some such...and prepare to be flamed from here to eternity..."
That's an excellent idea. There was an older thread that included religion, but it was generic and also touched on politics. We need a good area in which all of us can fiercely debate matters that are penultimately unknowable.

Yes, it bothers me quite a bit. All of you are filthy, ill-behaved miscreants, and you show a total lack of respect for those of us who are pure, and want nothing to do with this, this grunting, that you're all doing. Please try to show a little decency for the sake of those of us who want a clean forum. No more sexual innuendo, etc!

I hate everyone and everything...why you ask. Simply because I can.

I miss Foul.

In honor of him, the next quote:
So farewell hope, and with hope, farewell fear,
Farewell remorse; all good to me is lost.
Evil, be thou my good.
