Well it would have been a shame to put the comic to rest. You just needed to be more public about it. Advertising is good, but dont overkill.Originally posted by Kayless
Oh, and I just want to thank all of you for reading DCI. When I started in it February it only got a single hit. Over the next seven months it got an amazing 33 hits. I had pretty much given up on the comic (and was only doing one issue every couple of months). Then in October Rob-Hin PM’s me and asks if I’m still doing the comic. Good god, I have readers! I start getting my ass in gear, (updating regularly and sending the comic to the major search engines and Top Web Comics) inspired by you folks. By the end of October hits have jumped to 75. There were an extra 210 hits in November. We're only halfway through December and we already have last month beat by a good margin. If this trend continues... Anyway, thanks a lot guys. Couldn't have done it without you.
But as I said, this comic is good. I can be a very rough critic, especially when people talk positive about something so much, when I only find it mediocre. But this comic is good, and I wouldnt be saying that just because I know you online.
The only problems with it are, there arent enough people to notice it, so if we can make it reach the top 150, Im sure there will be more readers. And the second problem is that it has a major appeal towards RPGers, but would have less of an effect to those who have no idea what the hell is going on. But thats just because of the chosen genre. I think it is impossible to encompass an entire audience and make a comic equally fun and understanding for all.
So neither of these things are Kayless' fault. So dont think Im bashing you comic. Because I would be the last to bash your comic.
Right. With that said....Im still bouncing off the walls! ACK! Im going to have to wait a year for the final of the epic....*sigh* These epics dont just come along every now and again. The LotR will be looked upon as the Star Wars of this era.
