Welcome to the Magi Wing of Blades of Banshee
Xyx, I agree that since we have maybe a year to kill, it owuld be best if we kinda stay loose as far as our ideas and thoughts about what we want to do once the game is released. There may be things we thought we could do, that won't be possible, and there may be things we hadn't even thought of that will be in the game.
As far as how we pass the time... I would be up for some multi player Baldur's II if anyone is interested. Never played multi before, and the only free time I really have is on the weekends. It'll give us all a chance to game together and get to know each other a bit better. That will obviously lead to us coming up with more ideas and topics of interest for the guild.

"Think on this, arrogant mageling: even the mightiest archmage has no spells strong enough to let him cheat death. Some take the road of lichdom... a living death. The rest of us find graves, and our dust is no grander than that of the next man. So when next you lord it over some farmer with your fireballs, remember: we all master spells enough to die"

Not sure how you can get it on Gamebanshee, but I think to get it on the Guild site you should send it to Xandax. He's the mastermind behind the site. He may still be on vacation though.

Uhm.. does anyone know how spellcasting will be handled in NWN? In D&D3, people act in sequence and cast spells instantly. No disruption, unless you are hit by area damage or attacks of opportunity. What about those? What about material spell components?

I think i read an article that said that for the most part you will not have to worry about spell components. It would become too tedious to manage your regular inventory with the addition of managing spell component inventory. but, it sounded like they hadn't ruled out certain spells needing a component... for instance, if a spell required a skull of an ogre, along with other items, you'd just have to have the skul and the engine assumes the other items. That's just an example, but that's the impression I got.Originally posted by Xyx:

Correction: No disruption, unless hit by continuous damage or attacks of opportunity. Like when your pants are on fire.

Well mageling, ye can only kill with offensive spells, unless ye plan on hitting some with ye staff
</IC>
I don't have a combination, I useally just load up on MM and acid arrows.
That's why I'm gonna play an Abjurer now, so I can learn to use some defensive spells.

Guten Tag my fellow mages!
Been swamped at work the past week so I have not been around much, but I just wanted to let you all know I am still alive and kicking over here.

Well, I buff up like that, then cast Mislead, go Berserk and bash everything to death with Melf's and the Flail of Ages while they chase my decoy.Originally posted by Xandax:
