Nature’s first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf’s a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.

@Kayless, you have become over time a master at depicting the bras of monks. What can I say?
Nice strip this week.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

Havent looked at the other frames jet, will let you know when i get to them.
I figured you guys would get a kick out of this issue. Who needs jokes when you have semi-naked chicks?
Originally posted by Aegis There are other frames?
Man, I should have made this issue just one big frame of the first panel.

Can't say I've ever seen Beatrice resort to violence before trying the lay-on-a-guilt-trip effect--especially on one of her own. Wasn't she a bit hard on Castor?
And how does she know this isn't a plan of Castor's, however lunatic, to get back the lost gumball artifact? Really, if Bea was petrified, it would be what she deserved. Despite looking good in a monk's bra.

Well, she does have a history of laying the smack down on him when Castor says or does something exceptionally stupid. She also tends to get a bit jealous of other women.

Bea, like many readers on the DCI board, doesn’t give Castor much credit. Yes, she was acting rashly and she might just owe Castor an apology (assuming his motives are not what they seem).

Women--can't trust to keep their word, huh.
@Kayless, I hope you don't take my criticisms seriously. Your comic is one of two I read online, the other being Sinfest. That's either great praise or slander, depending on how you rate my taste.

Give her time. I'm sure she'll get around to the others.

Don't you know? I take everything seriously! (I'm a serious guy) And I shall take my revenge on you for your less than satisfyingly sycophantic remarks! Oh yes, you will feel my wrath!

All I'm saying is that Bea either: 1) overestimated the strength of her kick; 2) underestimated the fortitude of Castor's teeth; or 3) had no idea that her foot had suddenly become a marshmallow. No option speaks highly of Beatrice's abilities as a monk. Her sensei must be ashamed of her. Either that, or she got her Monk Diploma through one of those shady mail-order places.....
That there; exactly the kinda diversion we coulda used.
Of course: The Acme Monk Agency, infomercials at 4 AM. However did we forget?

Castor has a very hard head and I'm sure his teeth are quite strong too. But I could always edit the last comic so a few more teeth are missing.

Although in that middle block, he looks like his face is melting, if you ask me. Did he get too close to a sun lamp?
Dungeon Crawl Inc.: It's the most fun you can have without 3 midgets and a whip! Character stats made by your's truly!

I can see it now. Wimpy Beatrice is at the beach with her boyfriend, when one of the mean Baywatch lifeguards comes along and kicks sand in her face. Later, she is frustrated that she is so weak and knocks over a chair. She spots an advertisement for The Acme Monk Agency on the back of a comic book and says “Darn it! I’ll gamble a stamp!” The rest is history.

I dunno, I guess fear makes his face melt. (I was going for a manga-ish extreme expression).

She's rich. She doesn't need stamps. She has heralds/couriers carry her letters.
