Is Darth Nihilus truly dead?
I always suspected that Darth Nihilus never really perished at the hands of the Exile. I thought that red dark side stuff was taking him away to someplace. If so could he return in a KotOR sequel?
"Savior, conquerer, hero, villian. You are all things, Revan, and yet you are nothing. In the end, you belong to neither the light nor the darkness. You will forever stand alone..."
Apparently, in some EU comics far in the future, he apparently survives...which I choose to ignore. He's dead, and he should be as he was never a very interesting character to begin with. The game needed another character (in this case, Visas) to explain and give characterization to the character.
Also, the character by design sort of mirrored The Exile. Had the main character not cut himself off from the Force at the mass destruction of Malachor V, instead of becoming a force-user by proxy (a "force black hole"), he would have become exactly like Nihilus, sort of a force vampire. This is exactly why during your fight with him, one way to weaken him is to bait him into trying to drain you, which doesn't work. Darth Nihilus serves as a counterpoint to The Exile, so for that reason, I think the character is done with.

If nothing we do matters, then all that matters is what we do.
