1) The FE readme file says that it is version 3.8. I see over at Co8 that they have a file '4.01'. Is this necessary? What does it give me and can I install it right over 3.8? And it says I need Microsoft '.net framework 2.0 or higher' to run 4.01. How do I know if I have this?
2)I read in the Co8 mod release notes to be sure to turn 'auto save on map changes' off. This sounds like a stupid question but does the X in the box next to it mean it is 'on'? Because it was already cleared of the mark (no X). I left it cleared for now. The big X just seems to look like it means off. Anyway, does X mean 'on'?
3) What would you pick to start with for all the options in the FE launcher boxes? For example - NPC max HPs, max number levels, etc.
4) I see many mod descriptions in the co8 mod pack release notes that are not in the FE launcher. How are these added? Or have I screwed something up?
5)Is there a mod that allows for larger on screen text in the game? It's hard to read. Other than reducing the resolution? I'm running at 1024 x 768.
6) And finally, unfortunately the game (cd case only) came with no manual. I know there's one included in PDF format. But, reading all this on the monitor or printing out 170 pages is just not an option. I *really* hate this trend of no manuals like they did in the 'good old days'. Does anyone know where I could buy the actual manual? Has anyone played the game dozens of times and just doesn't want their manual anymore.
