Appropriate level for WK?
It's been quite some time since I played BG so I can't remember the appropriate level for doing WK. Any suggestions? My party is self-made and consists of warrior x2, sorcerer, cleric, swashbuckler and a ranger (archer) in the 10-13 level range.

It's designed to be played in between SOA and TOB, so around 3 million XP would be fine and prevents certain enemies (with certain items) from not spawning.
On the other hand, you can always go their as soon as possible to get certain items on the first level and leave the rest for later.

That is precisely what I do, I will go and loot the first floor as soon as I think I can handle it, just because some of those items are so useful..anarchistica wrote:

However, I am careful not to engage any enemies that may be carrying certain other items at a higher level
In terms of WK proper, though, I tend to go either near the very end of SoA (just before initiating the final battle), or I'll head in as soon as ToB allows me to.

I believe, however, that if you are not past a certain level, certain items that are quite good will not drop.Saros wrote:WK can be completed at a low level, even right after Chateau Irenicus, after buying some gear and scrolls from the merchants in Amn. Of course, it's gonna be very hard, but not impossible.
People keep saying this, and too many for it to have been a one of glitch, but I've never had it happen to me and I've played the game more often than is healthy! The big difference maybe that I've never played without either playing BG1 with ToSC or havaing (using SK) given myself the equivalent (161,000) XP. Add the XP for Chateau Irenicus and I think it's a fairly safe bet that the items will spawn as long as your level 9+, I've certainly been there at 9th level (on my own) and got all the items in the first level.Tate wrote:I believe, however, that if you are not past a certain level, certain items that are quite good will not drop.
