Power Blast vs. Rapid Shot

Which is a better tree for someone with dual blasters?

I'm thinking of using Carth Onassi as my ranged blaster. As a Soldier, he gets tons of feats, and I'm not sure which is a better tree to pursue.

Rapid Shot most likely. Unless I'm wrong, or the animation is deceptive, Power Blast, unlike Power Attack, appears to deal only one shot per activation. The descriptions are the same, but I've not been able to confirm otherwise yet.

Otherwise, it would seem to end up being the same argument not to Flurry. In this case, more so, since there are no attribute bonuses to damage for single handed blasters!!

I went with Power Blast. I'm not sure how the build went, but at first it seemed I was missing with all my Power Blasts, but as I improved my feat to Master Power Blast, it kicked butt!!
