Gibs

I'm kind of okay with gibs flying around when someone gets hit by violent magics. But I don't think that critical hits during swordplay and backstab should have to result into explosive death.

Is there a way to turn down the gibs setting for melee combat only? Or has it been modded before?

I believe the 'chuckify' death is hardcoded in the game. I remember someone trying to make shadows 'fizzle' upon death in some mod, but it was apparently impossible to get around the 'chuckification'.

So basically, the only advise I have is do 10 damage or less per hit, as things only get chucked if reduced to -10 or more HP in a single hit.

Yeah, I know - crappy advise, eh? Hehe..
