How to get quests lost? Poisoned Man help....?

Right, I got jumped several times in a row by bandits, and after fighting the first two, I left the last 2 without a fight. Consequently, I assume 1 I abandoned contained the Poisoned Man quest.
Now, I've cheated in the body, but talking to the guy outside the Harper Hold gives me nothing.
I need to either:
1) Spawn the poisoned man to talk to him
2) Get back to the map - force it

This is driving me crazy. Sorry if this has been asked before, but I filtered it, and could find nothing.
Please help.......
