I quit
the first NWN 2 was too easy. This one S@#$s. This spirit thing just destroys the whole game. No mattet what I do I can't complete the task to find the woods man because I keep dying. I'm tired of reloading and not buying any more nwn games. they have lost so much that was enjoyable in the begining.

Omg, can that be done, please tell me how to turn off that terrible spirit meter, if i wanted to be addicted to another substance i'd take up alcohol or coke.
As to the orignal poster, nwn2 OC can be made harder and more interesting by adjusting the difficulty level, installing mods excetera.
And if you wait until mid Nov. another cool exapnsion for NWN2 is coming out called storms of zehir, this one is a considerable improvement on what we've got currently.

its playable and its great
ok so i paste you this from nwn2 motb walkthrough which can be found here on GameBanshee
you really hate dealing with spirit energy, you can use console commands to turn it off. Just enter the following lines into the console:
debugmode 1
rs ka_se_terminate
debugmode 0
If you later decide that you’d like it back on, you can type
debugmode 1
rs ka_se_init
debugmode 0
The latter command will also reset your spirit meter to its original setting (with low craving and 100 energy), and so you can use it as an alternative to the Satiate feat.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Personally , I like playing evil chars, but for MotB is best play with good char so you gain feat Eternal Rest, which is actually same like devour spirit, BUT your craving will not rise! (but can be only used on undead)
Few hints from me :
do NOT devour until you have 40 + spirit energy (-2 penalty is still playable)
user eternal rest whenever its possible
when you pass wood man quest, you recieve 100 spirit energy and your carving will become 0. (good char)
do not rest if it isnt that necessary, easiest way to recover health and spells is to travel (travelling to the near location will cost you cca 2 hours, resting 8)
hope you wont give up and finish this awesome game!
