Dragonmarked

Post by Phasm »

More questions, but on an entirely unrelated subject. One of my players is looking to have an Aberrant Dragonmark as his starting feat - absolutely fine, so he asks if I know anything about Aberrant Dragonmarks being Least, Lesser or Greater. I don't as it's not in the ECS, which is the only Eberron book I have at the moment - but, when I was looking to see what supplement I'm gonna get next, I come across one called Dragonmarked, and start reading it about it. Supposedly a lot of art etc. was cut from the final book, including images of Least, Lesser and Greater Aberrant Dragonmarks, and parts in the book about them was cut as well. So, I'm a bit disappointed and just move on - except while searching the web for Aberrant Dragonmarks to see if anyone has come up with their own rules for L, L & G I find an excerpt from Dragonmarked, on the Wizards website no less which is the list of feats. Including L, L & G Aberrant Dragonmarks and a number of other perplexing ones such as "Nightborn" Dragonmarks, "Mighty" Dragonmarks, "True" Dragonmarks and a bunch of other things related to the individual houses.

I'm confused? Really, really confused. Can some one explain to me what's going on here?

The Abarrant Marks are in the book, p. 140 & 141. The general guideline for them seems 2/day a 2nd lvl spells, or 1/day a 3rd lvl spell for the Lesser, and respectively 4rd & 5th lvl spells for the Greater Mark.
There are a lot of other Dragonmarked related feats. Also a lot of nice PrC and lots and lots of info on the houses. Personally, I think this is one of the better books out there.
