Empty potion bottles

I did a brief seach for this and found nothing. My third run through and curiosity has finally got the best of me. What the heck are those empty potion bottles for? (Guarded Compound in Temple District)

I know they drink some potions in the fight but so do ohter fights but this is the only one which drops empty bottles... :confused:

They are just there so the game looks more realistic. The bottles are supposed to me remnants of potions.
