Best rolled characters.

What´s your best character roll of all time? I still get semi-turned on by the thought of my very first Elven Fighter/Thief:
18/86
19
17
16
16
14
Of course my computer back then suffered a horrible fate, meaning that I never got to save that character for future uses. I sometimes recreate him with Shadow Keeper for the sentimental reasons of it.
An Elven Fighter/Mage I played a lot with:
18/51
19
17
18
15
10
This Paladin of mine was of course nothing to scoff at, IMO, at least:
18/37
18
18
11
15
18
Now, I always bump Intelligence a bit, seeing that a certain Intelligence-draining critter much later on won´t get the best of my character in one single hit. I never really plan on making my main Characters the leader, unless I have the Charisma for it, so that isn´t a real priority.
Oh, I almost forgot this plain Fighter:
18/71
18
18
11
15
17
Now, after the different tomes in BG, they become a tad more powerful, of course.

Fighters are perhaps the easiest characters to roll for.
This is my roll (without doing so for an hour) for a bard (made especially for time usage):
18 -> 19
18 -> 19
15 -> 16
16 -> 17
4 -> 7
18 -> 19
Although I could have just as easily subtracted from Strength and found the level two scroll.

My best character was a human fighter with an 98/76 roll. 8 wisdom, all other stats 18.

Paladin When Finished With Tomes
18(56) 19
18 19
18 19
10 11
15 18
17 18
He pretty much just catsed protection from evil & power of holy might on himself and swated people around by the end of the game.

I am trying out a chaotic evil character for the first time (well, I've tried a few before but those were always half-hearted attempts), and I made him a half-orc fighter.
I read somewhere that it is possible to raise the main character's Strength by a total of +6 if you play him through all of BGI, ToSC, BGII and ToB, and I wanted to give that a try. He took me ages to roll, because I really wanted to give him some decent Int, Cha and Wis as well (I mean, a lord of murder shouldn't be a witless brute, right?).
Morth, chaotic evil half-orc fighter:
19 Str
18 Dex
19 Con
16 Int
14 Wis
14 Cha
By the end of ToB I hope to have him at
25 Str
20 Dex
23 Con
18 Int
18 Wis
18 Cha
Fitting stats for a lord of murder, I think

My fighter/mage/thief which I got without multiple re-rolling was
Str 18
Dex 18
Con 18
Int 18
Wis 18
Cha 4
After playing ToSc these became
Str 19
Dex 19
Co 19
Int 19
Wis 21
Cha 4
I gave the charisma tome to another character.
Of course using a well known exploit, his charisma was quickly up to 25 in SoA.

I am curious which exploit you are talking about. I don't think I know it...
I don't think I will ever really need it (when I really want to cheat I just use SK) but I'm always interested in finding out more of this game's secrets.
I don't think I will use any exploits on my current playthrough. This is my first time playing an evil-aligned protagonist through the entire saga, so I want to take it very serious. Besides, it would be a waste of the ~2 hours spent rolling the character's original stats

I am going through the game with this Dwarven Berserker (with Tutu). He isn't exceptional but he has done a pretty darn good job so far. He is wearing the cloak from the fat man in Feldepost's Inn for the +2 charisma.
18/95 STR
17 DEX
19 CON
9 INT
12 WIS
16 CHA
Everything I need.

To answer Revi, the exploit is
SPOILERS highlight to read
To use the ring that raises charisma to 18 along with the staff found on the lich in the gate district. This staff lowers charisma from time to time. When it becomes negative your charisma wraps around to 25.
Make sure that you do not take off the ring when your charisma is zero.
The same can be done with Dexterity using Lum's machine at Watcher's Keep if you have a very low dexterity. That isn't worth the effort however, but it can be done.

Could someone explain to me what the number after the slash in the strength statistic means?
So, 18/99 or 18/00? Which one is better? I've always thought that the higher the better but I never questioned it.

The higher, the better, but 18/00 is the best you can roll. 18/01 is the lowest (value of one) and 18/00 is the highest (value of 100).

A pretty good mage, particularly since it won't be long before you can buff the two areas of weakness, ie strength and charisma. Are you playing solo or with a party?

Why did you give your mage WIS 18? If you're not gonna dual him to cleric you just wasted lots of points.

Human Paladin
18(something) Strength
18 Dexterity
18 Constitution
15 Intelligence
18 Wisdom
18 Charisma
Believe me, that took a while.
I didn't want to acquire one of the tomes of wisdom for moral reasons so end up with:
19 Strength
19 Dexterity
19 Constitution
16 Intelligence
20 Wisdom
19 Charisma
Unrelated but for the lulz. Stats at the end of ToB:
20 Strength
19 Dexterity
20 Constitution
17 Intelligence
22 Wisdom
21 Charisma

What moral reason? Surely after taking the tome to the high priestess, it would not be imoral to kill her. She is an evil priestess after all! Some paladins would have no scruples about wiping out the high priestess and everyone else in the temple.
If you have scruples about attacking non-hostile characters I understand, but I believe that there are ways of making her hostile.
It is that tome that you are referring to?

Correct and yes you can make her hostile by talking iirc.
You're not technically doing anything wrong by asking for the tome to help someone and then just resolving the matter by violence. But fact is I know it'll end in violence. I don't deal with people only to kill them afterward and keep the tome for myself
