If you're like me and the EE keeps crashing on you, there seem to be two things to try:
1. There's a Vista patch out already, and you can find it on the "check for updates" page from the launcher.
2. You might need to turn down your sound acceleration. In XP you can do this from the control panel by selecting "Sounds and Audio Devices," then clicking on the "audio" tab, then clicking on the "advanced" button in the sound playback section, then clicking on the "performance" tab, and finally choosing your level of hardware acceleration. I went from "full" to "standard" and the game started running fine (at least so far; knock on wood).
