cant find where to use lamp in archeologist quest

i am new at this game and imhaving problems trying to get the laides gost to come out dont think im standing in the right spot please help

There is no lady ghost in the archeoloist quest.
Its the Investigate the Major quest you are talking about.

Stand at the stalls (the little building at the beginning of the Grey House) and use the lamp a few times.

If there is ever a place to use the lamp, you will have it a context sensitive option. (F1 on TLC, at least)

I dont think that is correct.
I cant remember the F1 option at both the stalls or the demon door..

Hmm it may be a glitch unless you havnt talked to the guy outside the demon door in Barrow Fields

The demon door doesn't have it, but the stalls do.
