problem playing morrowind on pc

Post by vickstick »

since my xbox controllers are all broke ive been trying to play morrowind on my pc(goty edition) but somehow my game is being interrupted by an error all the time. ive been trying to solve this in every way i can imagine(uninstalling and reinstalling, not installing the expansions although it isnt the same  ) now without the expansions for some reason the errors occur less, but they still occur... so now im going to give you the signature of the error:

AppName: morrowind.exe AppVer: 1.2.0.722 ModName: morrowind.exe
ModVer: 1.2.0.722 Offset: 0017de83

does any1 know the solution to this stupid problem?

hi vickstick, basicaly, video card drivers are a piece of software that allows windows to communicate properly with your graphics card and display the game on the screen correctly.

you probably have either an nvidia or ati based graphics card, visit their websites to get the latest video drivers, if that is the problem. can't do any harm gettig the latest anyway. :)

In addition to your video drivers, do you have the required patch?

You can get patches here.
