Equipping One Shield in More than One Slot

Post by Dilidor »

It seems that I need to have three shields in my backpack if I want to use three sword-and-shield combinations in my quick-draw menu. If my fighter has a short sword, a long sword, and an axe, let's say, and he wants to use any of the three along with a shield--then I must have THREE shields in my backpack if I want to be able to switch weapon combos from the quick menu.

This simply CAN'T be right. Is there a way to use just one shield, but to have it active regardless which weapon he's wielding in the other hand? The manual does not address this question, and I can't figure out how to do it.

Thanks for the help.

Nope, no other way than going to your inventory screen and messing around with things manually each time.

Although that's a PITA, I prefer the IWD2 way to the IWD1 way, which meant pausing and switching weapons when going from a 2 handed missile weapon to a weapon and shield combo.
