Walkthrough?

Post by nocturn »

Is there a Fallout 3 walkthrough underway? If so, why aren't there some starter's info, like skills descriptions, available?

I mean, I mostly visit GameBanshee for its extremely thorough walkthroughs of RPGs, and find it hard to believe that on the Fallout 3 site (which is a major gaming milestone) we only have screenshots and reviews (and I really think that people don't want to read ANOTHER F3 review).

Keep doing a good job GameBanshee

wtf :D
The problem is that the people with the most ridiculous ideas are always the people who are most certain of them.

Wtf indeed.

As for the walkthrough, be patient. I believe you can help make a walkthough by sending sollutions for quests and areas in. Also, alot of the walkthrough makers of this site don't own fallout 3, atleast I think they don't.

All the other things you mention can easily be found via google. Hell, there are propably other walkthroughs out there too.

If there is a way for me to contribute, please enlighten me. I'll do my best.

Unfortunately I haven't found any "Gamebanshee style" walkthrough on the web. Most talk about one way of completing a quest (Power Of The Atom for example), and that is obviously not complete.

As for the "milestone" thing, I meant it as a landmark or something that really stands out -- like a flag or something. Sorry if the meaning was inaccurate...

The walkthrough will come in time. Probably fairly soon we'll update the subsite with skill / perk / attribute / etc information.

a major gaming milestone
lol whut? What's the milestone?

As for a walkthrough, I don't think it's really necessary, you just move forward, shooting and picking the dialogue choice that isn't "Hello", "What are you doing?" or "goodbye". I haven't been stumped for more than an hour, and that was from a broken quest chain.

However, I'd like to see a game map from someone who has taken the "Explorer" perk, and maybe a list of which subway terminals connect to which areas, as those are the only difficult bits in the game: Finding content and navigating to it.

I'm afraid it's not that simple. For example, how was I supposed to know that the sniper in Minefield could be used in another quest, so that I didn't kill him? Or that in triyng to help Big Town by re-activating some security droids, due to some bug probably, the droids were nowhere to be found.

What I mean is, that with modern RPGs you have a plethora of options (or bugs sometimes), which you're not able to discern right away. That's where the in-depth walkthrough comes in.

Awww, I killed him. I figured he was quest related since he had a name, but I'd already killed him. Could you tell me where the quest is/was?

Thanks.

For those who don't want to find out on your own, highlight...
Spoiler
You will recieve the quest in Paradise Falls, the slaver city. You'll find it close to Minefield (a bit to the west I think). You can't miss it since there is a giant boy figure (factory mascot or something) that is visible from afar.In order to let you in, the gate guard will ask you to enslave four people the slavers bear a grudge against. One of them is Arkansas.
