Can't Find Two Beasts

Hi:

I'm in Chapter V and in the Swamp Cemetery. I can do most of what I need to do except I cannot find either Vesper or Lilly.

I've looked everywhere for them (especially in the areas they are supposed to be in) during all hours of the night and they do not appear.

Any ideas why I'm having this trouble? Am I to accomplish some Quest first before they show??

I don't think there's a requirement to make them appear. They've always just been there when I headed for the chapel.

I don't know if mberry is asking a question about something else, or is it possible I need to have and I.D. of some sort in the "Beasties" for Lilly or Vesper to show up??

That was a mis-post from mberry. You don't need to read anything for any of the trophy monsters.

Did you talk to the royal huntsman yet? He'll tell you about the trophy monsters for the chapter. I don't think talking to him is necessary, but it couldn't hurt.

Yes, talked to the Huntsman (a couple times). Tried walking the total area about 5-6 times at night and neither of them showed up. Can't figure this one out.

Yes, been there a few times too. Does it matter what time of the night? Is it specific or just as long as it is midnight or later? And by the sounds of what you say, they should both appear on land, not in the swamp or in a building or cave, etc. I don't know why I'm having this problem. I know it was mentioned that it is not necessary to read anything, but just as a point of possible interest, I did read the "Book Of The Full Moon". No difference.

Guess I'll carry on and come back later unless someone else has an idea.

That's right. They should both be on the island with the chapel, and right on the path where you can't miss them.

Here's something to try, if you haven't yet. Meditate at one of the campfires on the north side of the island, and wait until midnight. Then follow the path south into the island. You should run into both monsters almost right away. If you don't... then I dunno.

Everything I read said Late at night, however, I did the deed immediately after escorting Shani to the Swamps at night. Both were there (and the remains of the Garkain remained as necessary), but I never got the other Buxae to show up 9I didn't know at the time they were contract quest targets.....)

Hi:

Well it took two different nights but finally Vesper showed up and got him OK.

Took the trophy to the Hunter and have returned to look for Lilly. Again, no luck. Stayed around from midnight to 7:00 in the morning but no show.

I believe Lilly is a Vampire?? And if so, could someone please tell me, when she does show, does she appear in the scene as flying in?? And somewhere along the path?? Also, does she appear on her own or with some helpers??

Lilly is a bruxa, which I guess is some sort of vampire thing. She'll have a couple of regular bruxae with her. She should appear in about the same place as Vesper.

I don't think Lilly will suddenly show up if she's not there when you arrive. So try meditating until midnight again, or else leave the map and come back.

Hi All:

Finally ..... finally ..... I got them both. Had to come back a couple nights in a row, but they eventually showed up and I gave them to the Hunter.

The disappointing thing of all this is that judging by the results I got of tuning in these last two trophies, I didn't get the "big" reward. That indicates to me that I have missed one along the way. I was sure I had brought all the trophies to the Hunter throughout the game, but guess I must have missed one and can't figure out which one that would have been.

Is there any way I can find out which trophies I have turned in so I can figure which one I apparently missed?

My thanks to all of you for being so patient and helpful. I really do appreciate it very much.

Each trophy you turn in completes a quest, so you could check it that way. There are two trophy monsters in each chapter.

You won't get the big reward until you talk to the royal huntsman after turning in the last trophy, so maybe you just need to talk to him again.

Always talk to them again after turning in the requisite # trophies (2-3, 5, & 10 IIRC). You don't get the prize otherwise.
