no way to switch in the middle. there must be some way how to make a desktop shortcut. I think if you go into your hard drive and find the .exe program that launches the game then right click on it you can make a desktop shortcut. But I launch from the disk to. I just open and close the disk drive to make it read it.
Right Speech has four aspects: 1. Not lying, but speaking the truth, 2. Avoiding rude and coarse words, but using gentle speech beneficial to the listener, 3. Not slandering, but promoting friendliness and unity, 4. Avoiding frivolous speech, but saying only what is appropriate and beneficial.

To create a desktop shortcut, you either need to find the executable on d:, or you need to find the start menu shortcut. Then right-click on it and select copy, and then right-click on your desktop and select copy shortcut. That's how it works for XP; no idea about Vista.

That method also works in Vista as well. I encountered no problems when I tried that for several games in Vista (including the Witcher).

Not possible. There is no such option in the game menu. I'm afraid you will have to start a new game to do so.
